Sandi we had some bad storms too last night... quite a spectacular bunch of thunder and lightening... fortunately my blinds are veyr thick and I was very tired so I slept through it all!

I have a not so exciting day here. I hope you all enjoy the day!

Everyone, thanks for all of your recipies! I have to say, I was a little nervous about the tomatoes, but my family loved it. The kids kept saying how good it was, and Logan even had seconds. Next time, I will try one of these grilling recipies. Sandi, I did think of you when I posted my plea for recipies - you are always making yummy things for dinner!

Merry-Sorry about the freezer....what a pain! Dating your husband is very sweet! much better than dating someone else's husband Your DH might not like that LOL Actually...I think it's a great thing to do & DH & I are always trying to squeeze some time alone in Gotta remember what you liked about them in the first place!
This is just kind of a question to see if anyone would be interested in doing this.....A few months ago there was a Disers kid overseas & tons of Disers sent him baby wipes & sunscreen & snacks etc. Just sort of a way to give a little back to our service men. My nephew is now in Africa & could be sent to Liberia if we go to war there. He is an attorney in the Marines & we're all worried about him. He asked the family to send him baby wipes and his favorite coffee etc. I was just sort of thinking that if anyone was interested maybe taking care of Brandon & the guys in his unit that don't get mail could be an Angel project. Let me know if anyone would be interested.
BTW...last night was a RIOT!!!!

My friend got back from her Disney cruise yest4erday with a whole bag of DVC member stuff for us 2 baseball hats, 3 lanyards, 3 pens & a mouse pad Wasn't it nice of them to get those for us!

What cool stuff you got there! That reminds me... we got the video for DVC and Luis was willing to watch it We are still thinking into it and may way until some resale opportunities come up for Beach Club. We want that for home and it is close to selling out. Right now we don't want to commit but we are going to evaluate our lives every month or so and I'd guess we'd buy into it in a year or so and maybe save up some money just for it and maybe pay off a chunk right at the beginnig.

Melissa, we have nothing to eat at our house either. Actually, just no meat. I'm going to the grocery today as well if we plan to eat dinner tonight.

I'd almost be glad to have some storms. It's really dry here. Hard to believe. Seems it hasn't been that long since we were wishing the rain would stop. Send some our way, would ya?

I enjoyed Chicago, although I found the story a little depressing. The music, dancing and costuming were great. Glad we went to the movies to see it. Probably wouldn't recommend it when the kids are around.

Sandi, your recipe sounds great! I don't like fish much, but I may have to try that one. By the way, I put a package in the mail to you yesterday, so it should arrive in the next couple of days.

Lars, I'd be glad to send a package and a letter and I could probably get my kids to each write at least one letter. I'll PM you.

Sorry you have to have a fishy funeral. Seems we have had our share of those, too. Is she very sad?

Elaine, you won't be sorry if you buy DVC. We love it. Usually try to get down there at least every couple of years, now. Having your own kitchen and washer/dryer is worth it! Boardwalk is our home.

Used our points to pay for a Disney cruise (actually rented them and paid cash because it was cheaper that way) in 2001. Then we spent a day in each of the parks. Doing the same thing for next spring break minus the extra park days. We are scheduled to go March 13 on the 7 day Magic. Anyone else want to come? It could be an angel cruise. LOL! We decided to take another big vacation before DH loses his job. After that it might be a while before we can do anything fun. A cruise also lets us have time with the kids and apart. We figured we'd celebrate our 20th anniversary early on the ship.

Heading over to check out the impossible riddle. Maybe I should request mints in advance?

What a yucky day here. It's raining, it's not raining, etc.

I forgot to post here yesterday that I taught my son how to ride a bike! I just told him to get his bike and I'd help him. He was so frustrated at first, but when I told him I'd take him to Chuck E Cheese this week if he learns, his eyes lit up. He was so happy to join his friends on his bike later on, it made my day!

Well, it's not raining here at the moment but you never know....it could start at anytime.

I can't believe how hard it rained here today esp after all the rain we got last night. The thunder has started up again, it looks like we might get another round.
I'm leery about planning anything that needs cooked on the grill tonight. I need to come with something different for dinner I think.

Lorraine, That is such an accomplishment!! Congrats to your DS!
I can still remember buying my boys their first bike. (sigh) Seems like just yesterday. My DD, I'm sorry to say, is not much of a biker at all. She never was. Believe me, I've tried to change that.
I even bought her a bike the year before last. Now I have 3 bikes in my garage! My new road bike that I ride constantly and the other 2 that collect dust!

Ok, my poodle just now had another seizure. (She had one very early this morning.) This is not good. She started having "clusters" of seizures last summer, sometimes like 6 a day, and my vet doubled her phenobarbitol. It stopped the clusters. I'm afraid now. I hope it's not starting up again.

Sandi, we used to have a poodle that had seizures, too. Hope things aren't getting worse.

We have a tiny fish pond outside our dinette window. It's very shallow. Our little dogs can stand up in it if they were to ever fall in, so we never thought it was a danger. Colette fell in while having a seizure and I didn't know it. By the time I found her it was too late. I'll never forgive myself that I wasn't there to pull her out.

Went to the store to buy more meat. Hopefully this batch will survive.

I'm getting ready to take David driving. He needs to practice parking lots and backing long distances before his driving class tonight.

Congrats on teaching him to ride a bike! I was never very much help to my kids. DH had to do the teaching and I just cheered.
