Greetings! I'm Caerphilly. My purpose is to persuade Disney produce more films of 'The Rescuers', one way or another. The Rescuers is a contemporary classic of literature formed by nine books written by Margery Sharp. The books are:

The Rescuers
Miss Bianca
The Turret
Miss Bianca in the Salt Mines
Miss Bianca in the Orient
Miss Bianca in the Antarctic
Miss Bianca and the Bridesmaid
Bernard the Brave
Bernard into battle

These books have enormous potential to write new scripts, and the fact that Disney has neglected this series is almost a crime. The last I saw of Bernard and Miss Bianca was brief appearances in 'House of Mouse', in which they don't even speak.
Disney must bring them back, no matter what. I shall personally see to that, and make sure that this series continues and flourishes as it did in 1977...or I'll die trying.

Remember:

"Through storm and rain and dark of night, never fail to do what's right."

Mouse Quotes

"My dear Bernard, I am very, very grateful to you. Never call yourself a wet blanket again. I shall always see you as an angora carpet!"
Miss Bianca

"I've always had a feeling for tureens. Tureens...and you, Miss Bianca"
Bernard

Just so people who read this know. Percival McLeach, Madame Medusa and Mr. Snoops were all conceived from characters in the second book of the Rescuer’s series, “Miss Bianca”. Percival McLeach is actually the Chief Ranger of the Diamond Duchess’ estate. He likes poaching in the woods and the inhabitants of Happy Valley are always bothered by this. (In the book, Bernard throws a dagger to his throat, thus saving Miss Bianca and the orphaned girl named Patience (Penny) from him and gives him the coup le grace with a lawnmower part (they couldn't put that on the movie!). Bravo! Three cheers for the bravest Secretary of the MPAS (Mouse's Prisoner Aid Society) Bernard is the greatest! Madame Medusa in the book is the cruel and sour old Diamond Duchess who sits on a throne shaped like two dragons (Nero and Brutus). Mr. Snoops is the equivalent of Mandrake, a little more humane but still twisted butler that serves the Diamond Duchess and that plays an important role in the next book, “The Turret”. Cody, the little boy, is actually a child called Teddy-Age-Eight from the fourth book “Miss Bianca in the Salt Mines”, one of the best of the series. Bernard truly shows his mettle in that book, and without him the mission wouldn't even have started. It's also the book in which Professor George of Mathematics and Professor Caerphilly of Geology star too, the latter being incidently my username. Gosh! I tell you! This series sure beats Harry Potter any day!

I'd be honored to have a partner. I'm personally taking care of matters.
As a Rescuers connosieur I am writing two plots based on Margery Sharp's novels. The first I have written based on 'Miss Bianca and the Bridesmaid' and "Bernard into Battle' and I have yet to decide the definite title; this takes place a few days before Bernard and Miss Bianca's wedding. The second is based on 'The Turret' and 'Miss Bianca in the Salt Mines' and I have called it "The Rescuers in Egypt"; it takes place a month after the first plot.

More Mouse Quotes!

"Personally, I'd like to see old Caerphilly chased by bloodhounds! He thinks he's the big thing at the University."
Professor George of Mathematics (Miss Bianca in the Salt Mines)

"The Tybalt Star for Gallantry in Face of Cats. If I remember the incident, a cat nipped on the tail, thus permitting a nursing mother of six to regain her hole!"

"She was my sister-in-law"

"Then I can't believe you're no match for Miss Bianca!"

Madam Chairwoman to Bernard in "The Rescuers".

"You give such a good opinion of myself...perhaps I could try to be brave."
Miss Bianca while hugging Bernard before the journey to the Black Castle.

"Where there's towns there's water, and where there's water, us Norwegians can go. Stands to reason."
"Cross bridges when we get to them."
"Stands to reason!"
Nils the Norwegian Sailormouse (Seemingly his answer for everything.)
