I see that there are two still open, 1 in kissimee and one in Lake Buena Vista, anyone been to either of them and is one better than the other? We love Bennigans but there all closed out here, so this would be a fun treat one night!

We went to the one at LBV in April. Well, I say we went - we didn't actually eat. We stood for about 4 minutes waiting for someone to seat us (it was dead in there, but there were no staff around). Then we were seated at a drty, sticky table that clearly hadn't seen a cloth for some time. The booth seats had deep rips in them. Then we went to the toilets - they're the WORST we've seen in Orlando in a long time! On the way back we walked past the kitchen, which just looked plain dirty. We ended up just getting our bags and leaving.

Such a shame because we've eaten fantastic meals at that restaurant on over a dozen occasions in the past, but until it's fully re-furbed, we won't be going again!

Not sure about the Kissimmee one - never actually seen it.

Right now, that chain (formerly-owned by the now-defunct Steak & Ale) is going-through a lot of trouble -- the locations that are left are being run by franchisees, meaning in one town it may be great, while in another...well...

My advice -- if you're on vacation, I would stay away until they start getting better word-of-mouth, again...

Agree with the advice to stay away. It never was a good place for decent food IMO but if you want something like this but better try Orlando Ale House or Outback Steakhouse. Also, Sand Lake Road has some great food choices.

the LBV location used to be such a great location for awesome happy hour two for one drinks, and pretty good food, and some calm for a reasonable price. When we were there a year ago, it was totally out of control, with the place really dirty, snotty staff, and incredible wait time when it wasn't that busy, and just at the bottom of the heap. really sad.

The two here in Kissimmee are both owned by the same owner. We like the one in LBV marginally better because we've had much better service there than the one on 192...the food quality is the same at both.

We have had very mixed experiences at the one in LBV, but it's quick and easy (our hotel is right next door), so we keep going back. The last few trips, we've just sat at the bar to eat. We find the bartenders to be friendlier than the regular servers, and it's a nice, casual way to eat. The food has always been fine. I think the strangest experience we had here was a few years ago, when our server apparently quit mid-meal. I swear it wasn't us! We are always polite, friendly customers. ;)

We had an almost identical experience at the Kissimmee Bennigan's. We stood in the doorway for a full 10 minutes. No one came. Servers even looked our way, but evidently thought it was someone else's job. So, we left and went to Logan's next door.

The worst part is there used to be a Bennigan's on I Drive north of Sandlake Rd. The service there was great every time we ate there. It no longer appears on their website, so I assume it was closed. Figures, they close the only good one.

Logans :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
And they have dirt-cheap dinner specials for two on Mondays and Tuesdays, although they won't always give you the special menu unless you ask.

Just may have to try Logans then! Thanks for all the advice, too bad to hear that they have taken such a bad turn, may just have to wait until christmas and go to the one in Vineland, NJ. They have always been pretty good when we are out there.

We ate at the one on 535 in March. No wait, good service, good food. It was very quiet mid-afternoon. My son swore it was the best fish and chips he had ever had.

I was sad when our local Bennigans went out of business many years ago. I usually try to stop by any I see.

Wonder if the one in Tampa on Dale Mabry is still open? Many happy meals there through the years.

Sheila
