Bengal Barbeque

The meat skewers are each 4 oz servings of meat. The veggie skewers weigh in at about 6-8oz.

4oz is a "standard" meat serving. It's just not what Americans are used to. Get a kitchen scale and weigh out 4oz of meat...you'll be shocked at how little it is.

I find that one chicken skewer and one veggie skewer is a very satisfying meal.

And, FWIW the Tigger Tails are garlic breadsticks, NOT pretzels. They sell Mickey pretzels there as well. I like those with cheese sauce more than the Tigger Tails. Tigger Tails are dry.

Maybe someone else can confirm that the skewers used to be much larger. :confused3 I think they reduced the size of the chunks of meat when DL tightened its belt. I LOVE this place! :lovestruc

I love Bengal Barbecue, too. Apparently, lots of people do, as it is getting harder to find a table there. And yes, the meat chunks have gotten smaller. The prices have not increased, but the amt of food has decreased. One meat skewer per person, plus a serving of veggies and/or fruit to share, used to be plenty. Now my family and I order two meat skewers each and split the veggies. I also miss the fresh fruit and wish Disney would offer it again. This is such a nice change from hamburgers and hot dogs. Too bad they don't place a few more tables in the area and maybe offer a jumbo skewer with double the meat for a slightly higher price.

Bengal Barbecue is a snack counter, not a full counter-service lunch option. There is little seating or standing space and a lot of people just take their skewers to the nearest empty bench if they can find one. I love the skewers (my partner not so much) but we wouldn't think to use Bengal for a full-on meal option.

Mmmm I love Bengal BBQ.

It's my favourite lunch option. I generally get the Banyan Beef, Chieftain Chicken and a Tiger Tail breadstick and that fills me right up.

If I throw in a drink I end up looking at spending about $15 but I don't mind. Its the one food that I mostly daydream about when Im back in Australia so I'm happy to splurge.

I love Bengal BBQ too! I think one meat skewer each plus a veggie one to share is the perfect size for a light lunch between a big buffet breakfast and a more substantial dinner. For me, 2 meat skewers and a veggie one to share would be a perfectly adequate size for a normal lunch, and would be along the lines of what I'm used to paying for a food court style lunch in Australia anyway. I'm not a big eater though, and always find the serving sizes much too big in the US!

Bengal BBQ is one of my favorites but defiantly falls under the "light meal" category. If you ever to the Fantasmic Dessert seating...makes for a great meal so you are not stuffed for dessert!

We usually do a quick coffee or grab and go breakfast, one larger substantial meal and one lighter meal each day and Bengel BBQ fits great into that plan!

I'm really not a fan of the bengal barbecue. I was extremely disappointed with my chicken skewer and tiger tail. The chicken was rubbery and the tiger tail was hard and dry. So much other better food around the parks.

After all these years I still enjoy Bengal Barbecue. I do consider it a meal, and with the area so crowded I usually pop into the River Belle Terrace, or even the French Market for a table. :rolleyes1:tink:

Try out the seating area in Aladdins oasis. It it usually very uncrowded and it's a pretty neat area back there.

I absolutely love the Aladdin area to sit and enjoy Bengal barbecue. It is so quiet and peaceful and I love to hear the jungle cruise boats sail by. At first I felt like I wasn't allowed to eat there but I think it's one of those great Disney secrets.

I love Bengal! I usually get one veggie skewer and one chicken, and it is plenty for me. There is a huge amount of potato on the veggie one! It is really yummy and healthy. It's a nice alternative to some of the heavier counter service options.
