Bengal Barbecue...closed?

I thought I read something about this earlier, but I did a search and couldn't find it. Did I read that the Bengal Barbecue is closed (along with some other nearby eatery), and won't be opening ever again?

If I'm wrong, please enlighten me!

Yes, they are closing Bengal BBQ. Riverbelle Terrace is going to expand but I dont know when they are going to close RBT for construction. Apparently they are going to have the menu of Bengal somewhere else...probably RBT.

It was closed last night when I went by at around 10pm. Dunno if it was just closed for the day or closed permanently...

Yes, I believe it is the 15th. The only way I remember that is because it closes on the first day of my trip

Oh Dear! I heard they were closing but I didnt know when. Thats kinda sad actually. I really loved that place. But it would be nice if they kept the menu even if it were for the RBT. The only downfall is that they needed more seating around that area. Too bad there wasnt much room for it. Maybe thats why they are extending the RBT besides the fact that it is a popular restaraunt.

oh No ;-; i love the Bengal BBQ !! guess my trip in july will be the last time i get to eat there. might as well enjoy a small snack per day.

I would like to see another poster confirm that it is closed permanently, have a hard time believing they would do this mid busy season.

I found this on the Theme Park Insider site:

A step above the usual Disney fast food fare. Poor location with lack of seating. Small snack size selection with the ususal Disney high prices. Enjoy it while you can as it is scheduled to be closed for future nearby restaurant expansion. - JIM Oswald
