Hi

We've used the Fantasmic Dinner Package a few times and think it's great.

You book a meal at one of the specified restaurants - we've always gone to Hollywood & Vine but I think Mama Melrose and and another couple are in the package.

The only payment is for the meal you have and you then receive a ticket which gains you entry to a 'back door' and through to the Fantasmic seating. The priority seating area is the far right hand side block of seats (if you're looking at the front) and the view is great.

You are still advised to get to your seats approx half hour before the Show so obviously you have to time your meal in accordance with the start of the Show.

Have Fun!

HTH :)

The Fantasmic dinner package offers dinner at a selected Disney-MGM Studios restaurant and reserved seating for Fantasmic.

The restaurants that offer the package are - Mama Melrose's, Hollywood Brown Derby, and Hollywood and Vine. The Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant and 50's Prime Time Cafe sometimes offer the package.

You must make a priority seating for the restaurant you require (make you sure specify the Fantasmic Dinner Package when you book), then after your meal you get a ticket which gets you a seat in the reserved section of the Fantasmic theater. If you want a good seat near the front, you must still arrive at least 45 minutes early, as the reserved section can fill up quickly. The reserved section is in the far right of the theater. If you do arrive early, there is no need to wait in line, you can go straight to the theater.

There is no extra charge for doing the package, you pay normal menu prices. The only requirement is that each adult must order an entree.

You can now book Fantasmic dinner packages through WDW Dining (407-WDW-DINE) up to 90 days in advance.

Hollywood & Vine
Adults $22.99
Children $10.99
Includes Buffet and dessert. Beverage included for kids only

Mama Melrose's

Includes salad, flatbread to share, entree and tiramisu. Beverage included for kids only

Brown Derby
Adults $39.99
Children $10.99

Prices include tax, but not gratuity. The package is prepaid, and therefore booking requires a credit card.

..not sure if it's bang up to date, but should be ok.

i would recommend the package we think it's agreat deal.

When we went in August we booked our package the day we were in MGM. There's a little booth at the top of the main street just before the big blue hat.

We did want our meal at Mama melrose's as we'd eaten there on a previous visit & enjoyed it. but they were full so we booked Hollywood & vine instead.

H&V was cheaper & much better value. we had 4 kids aged 11 to 16 & it was ideal. The food was delicious & lots of choice. If we do the package again we will definately eat there again.

We weren't charged for adult soft drinks.

Also as we booked late we were told they couldn't seat all 6 of us together but said the Cm would try to seat as near to each other as possible. When we checked in there was no problem sitting us all together!!!!!!

also the queue that night for Fantasmic was huge , Yet we strolled in half an hour before it started with no queueing & got seats.

I agree that this is a great way to get seats without too long a wait, especially if you are likely to have a sit-down meal in MGM anyway. At busy times, it may be the only way to get in without sitting on those hard benches for an hour or two!

On the other hand, if you're going at a quieter time, you can probably still get seats (maybe not at the front, but there are no 'bad' seats in Fantasmic) 45 minutes before the show without doing the meal package.

......and it isa great show! ;)
