My husband and I are going to WDW in August for our honeymoon! We can't wait!!! It's time to book ADRs. I've heard that I might get some "Disney magic" if I mention on the reservation that it's our honeymoon. Does anyone think that's true? I know there's no guarantee, but do you think it would do anything? You can't note that when making ADRs online. Do CMs really note celebrations if you call in to make reservations? What do you all think?

I think it's already too late for you. You're already "hoping for something", and you're setting yourself up for disappointment.

If you made your reservations online you can call and have it added to your reservations. Once you're at DW wear buttons and when you're at the restaurant let the podium CM and your server know, but whether you'll get any "Disney Magic" or pixie dust depends on the restaurant/server. We've gotten desserts, confetti, champagne, good wishes at some places and absolutely no acknowledgement at others.

As you said, there is no guarantee, but at the very least many CMs and other guests will offer their congratulations if you're wearing buttons. Considering the number of celebratory buttons you see in the parks, probably half the guests at DW are celebrating something - birthday, anniversary, wedding, engagement, graduation, first visit, family reunion...

We're going on our honeymoon in May and did ADRs online, but I'm going to call and let them know it's our honeymoon. We got engaged there last year and got some free desserts and all the CMs were constantly congratulating us.

Also, 2 years ago with his family his mom got us 'We're celebrating' pins for his sister's birthday. When we went out to eat just the two of us they saw the pins and just assumed we were honeymooning and we got free dessert a couple times. So definitely wear the pins! If you really want to go all out, get the bride and groom Mickey ears. Also, I bought Mr and Mrs pins at DTD to wear as well (cheaper and much more groom friendly). That way they really know it's your honeymoon!!
