FRIENDIES!!!!

We are home ... boo! We are older and fatter but very happy.

Had a lovely trip - the cake was awesome and I pranced and squealed and clapped my hands like a little girl - we loved meeting so many DISers during our visit. Have a goodly amount of food porn to share but I fear some will be disappointed because we ended up not going to about half of the meals we'd planned because we were just having too much fun in Epcot.

I'm sad that we won't be back again until at least 2011 but we have so many wonderful memories to relive that it will help ease the post-trip blues.

Wish everyone could have been with us last Saturday, but we were thinking about you guys!

We would have loved to have been with you last week (and the cake looked AWESOME!!!) but we did have fun here

Not being sure that we would really be able to take a January trip, and our points/holding points expire end of Jan (I hate our Feb use year!) we made different plans today....

DD's Sweet 16 bday is going to be at Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort She hadn't wanted a big party, but we still wanted to do something special for her. Her birthday event is as follows: Friday afternoon her 4 BFF's come over, we go get pizza at New York Pizza & Pasta (her favorite) then go to the final football game of the regular season against our big rival. After the game the girls all come back to our house where they'll watch Rocky Horror Picture Show at midnight and likely not sleep. In the morning we'll load everyone up, and drive down to HHI (about 3 - 3 1/2 hrs). We will check into the 2BR villa that an amazing CM was able to pull out of breakage (would've splurged on the GV if need be, but this was 40 pts less ) The girls can have fun, swim, shop, campfire, etc for the night. We'll head home Sunday afternoon. She's pretty excited I think it'll be a good birthday

Well, the house is clean, the laundry is done, and we're all packed except for the last minute stuff that we can't pack until the morning. So we'll take care of that in the am, then go to church, drop off the kiddies and then it's off for our cruise! Can you tell I'm just a little excited?

What a fabulous accomplishment. You are a total inspiration for me to get more serious abut counting points. I start out OK every day but around 10 PM at night, I like to snack and stop counting....

Well, the house is clean, the laundry is done, and we're all packed except for the last minute stuff that we can't pack until the morning. So we'll take care of that in the am, then go to church, drop off the kiddies and then it's off for our cruise! Can you tell I'm just a little excited?

Going on a Disney Cruise would have anyone excited - esp. if it was the first time. WIshing you the very best trip and lots of good eating.

You know... this is like my 6th time I'm doing it over like 20 years so I'm pretty familiar with the system... once I got past the "I want to gnaw on your arm" hunger...it was pretty good...

I've saved some 1 & 2 point snacks for the night time and if you have the 100 calorie packs in your store...look for the Stella D'orro chocolate breakfast treats... they are richly chocolate... also.. the regular Jello pudding cups are 2 pts... (I don't use artificial sweetner)... I also do a veggie snack - this week it happens to be cauliflower with ranch dressing... it's crunchy - I pick up the ranchiness and it gives me that crunch.

AND apples... they're in season... not only have I been eating them regular... but I peel them and cut them up and have them with a little raw sugar and cinnamon and it tastes good...

Sorry guys, we're not going on a Disney cruise...we're saving that for a trip with the kiddies. We're doing Royal Caribbean.....they were offering some crazy deals, so as much as I wanted to do a Disney cruise, I just couldn't justify the extra cost. Either way, I'm just excited to have 16 meals in which I am not interrupted by having to get up get someone juice/milk/water or in which I am not having to shovel food into a 20 month's old mouth in order to keep the screaming at a minimum!

Hey Bendy....

The WBTA gets in on Oct 2nd... it's a Saturday... you get in at the crack of DAWN... by the time you could get over to Epcot... you'd be there in time to eat... (hopefully you will still have AP's...) Rent a car... Stay at All Stars or Pop (or wherever you get points...) ... eat until you are through all 11 countries... book a later flight on Sunday and sleep when you get back to work...

What do you think???

Michelle,(Tink) I've been thinking about counting WW points again starting next week. I did it seriously with friends from work 10 years ago and still have all those point values burned in my brain! What is really depressing is when I looked up the points in a margarita...

It's a sad state of affairs when after nearly two weeks of late nights and boozie good times you come home only to end up with a wheezy, boombox cough that makes your chest ache. So instead of finishing the night with a drink I've got hot tea. We're hoping that it's just from traveling from one weather extreme to another ... otherwise I'm going to start calling WDW the Most Contagious Place on Earth.

Jamie ... let me know when Olivia gets her postcard ... we sent it on Wednesday (I think).

Michelle ... Jay's birthday is May 10th. And there will be no WDW after the cruise. We taking an extra day for Barcelona on the front end ... no time left for WDW on the back end.

Catherine ... I think the Rocky Horror Slumber party idea is a riot! Who gets to be Dr. Frank N Furter? Or will Tim Curry be in attendance? Because if he is, I'm crashing your party.

Heather ... enjoy your cruise, regardless of the cruise line. It may not be Disney but Jay and I have many friends who rave about Royal Carribean cruises - you will have a great time, I'm sure of it.
