Has anyone been here? Is it worth going to? I have heard some good things about going there in the past but haven't seen anything lately.
Thanks!

If Belz is the one I'm thinking of, then its really NOT worth going to. There was another outlet, closer to Downtown Disney. I'll check tonight to see if I have the name written down. It looked so much better and had designer stores. We actually passed this one to go the Belz (or whatever one is near Universal). Wish we had stopped at the first one.

We went there in the begining of December and I was less than impressed. The only thing I found worth mentioning were some Figment pins for $2.99. I won't be making a special trip back there again.

BTW, the Belz outlet is now a Prime Outlets location (the new signs confused me!)

I am not sure if I am confusing what I am looking for - I thought Belz was the chracter outlet place? Am I wrong? Is there another great one in the area? We have a day free & I convinced my dh that going to a character outlet would be fun (hehe)

they had that there (its in an outlet mall - so there are other stores there too). I was excited to go to the character place. It was def. not a whole day excursion. Its a mall type store, so its not huge. And they had some stuff, I walked out of there not buying a thing, and more importantly not wanting to buy a thing, and I'm a major shopper. But I also don't like 75% of the stuff they sell in the Disney store, I do however buy loads of stuff in WDW, go figure!

IMHO, its not worth the trip. Take the free day and explore some resorts, rent a water mouse at WL, or take a bike ride at the boardwalk, I think youll enjoy that a lot more

There is a Disney Outlet store in an outlet mall close to Disney. It's near the Mary Queen of Universe Shrine on Vineland Ave.
The directions are when go get to the Crossroads on Hotel Blvd make a right onto 535 and get over to the left lane. After the over pass for Rt. 4 take the next left which is Vineland Ave. The Mary Queen of Universe Shrine is on your right, the mall is just past the Shrine on the right. The best way to get to the Disney Outlet store is to go towards the right to the back of the mall. Facing the back of the mall use to entrance to the left. The Disney store is on the left right near the food court. We have found this Disney Outlet store to be just as good as the one at the Belz outlet malls and much easier and less time consuming to get to.
Hope you find it, we have found some wonderful cheap items there.

I have been to the both Belz malls and have scored big. I have also gone and it was a bust. It is a hit or miss type place. I have always made out well in one or the other of the malls with Universal Sturios outlet Baby Bjorn, Hard Rock Cafe and so on.

I think it's called premier outlet mall, or premium outlet mall. We got some good deals there in November.

The malls are now Prime Outlets, not Belz.

There are two stores owned by Disney in malls one and two (one in each). There is the Character Warehouse and Character Premiere. They do sell much of the same merchandise, but with some differences as well. There is also a Character Premiere at the mall near the Shrine of Mary - I think it's called Premium Outlets, I might be wrong (there are too many outlet malls here!) There can be GREAT deals, or there may be not much - it just depends how deep they are discounting, and what type of merchandise they have. I live close by, so for me, they have to have something really great (I go probably 7 or 8 times a year to any of them). Someone coming once a year, or once every few years, will likely enjoy it if there is a souvenir budget involved.

We make the trip to both outlets everytime we are there. I suppose it depends what you are looking for. I have 5yo twins and I almost always walk out with clothes for them. I have gotten some great tanks in the cooler months that I put away for our annual August trip. I love anything Christmas related and have usually gotten ornaments. Sometimes I have gotten lucky and found the gray hooded zip up sweatshirts, of which I have a massive collection I hide from DH. UGGGG at least 15 (there are a couple of doubles as well) just incase I stain one ;)
I have blue Mickey cerial bowls that I lugged home without breaking, only bought 2, and LOVE them and regret not getting more.

So I could go on and on, so suffice it to say, the items are always different, some trips have been more fruitfull than others, but we do make the trip there specifically for the Disney outlets, but thats just us. Disney Freaks.

OH P.S.
One of the greater scores was the 2 foot size Ariel collectable statue I got half price for 60 bucks!
(got a Mickey sterling bracelet half off too) told you I could go on but wont! Take the trip, the other stores arent so great although we have teen boys and stop in a few stores for them too.

The premium Outlest have Coach and Dooney and Bourke, great deals there too!
Shooping freak

I thought there was a really good character outlet - We have a couple of Preium outlets by us so I am not ineterested in them. I have to really think of what I can remember about the outlet I am thinking of.

There are four Disney "Character ____" outlet stores in the WDW area.

Two of them are at the Prime One Outlets mall (formerly called Belz Outlets) at the north end of International Drive.

One is in the Orlando Premium Outlets mall.

One is at the Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores mall.

Maps, store hours, etc. to all of these can eb found on my outlets page:

The Character Warehouse is a store in the Prime Outlet (formerly Belz) outlet mall. It, as well as the two Character Premieres, are owned by Disney, and the employees are Disney cast. There isn't a full character outlet mall, just character outlet stores in different malls - owned by Disney, to get rid of their merchandise at a discount (for the most part).

I didn't think the one at LBV Factory Outlet was run by Disney? I've never been, but I have friends who have - I'll have to check it out.

I am not sure what you are looking for, if not these. Just because you have a Premium Outlet near you, or even a Prime, they don't have all the same stores.

Thanks Willcad, you answered my question on your website (the last one isn't Disney owned). I pass by there every couple of weeks on the way to volunteer, so I'll stop in the next month or so.
