I was reading in one of my MANY guide books! LOL

I came across some information about Belz Mall & an outlet shop of Disney stuff.

Is it worth to check out? We will have a rental car for a few days during our stay & I was just wondering if we should schedule some time to check out the Outlet Mall?
Are there good deals to be found?

we got so much great stuff there it was ridiculous!!! we got t-shirts for $4.00- $12.00. The most expensive were actually polo type shirts for DH...size 2x! These are straight from the parks and good quality. Alot of stuff was from the year before, but we got alot of things that said 100 years of magic ( this was while the 100 yr celebration was still going on.) We got t-shirts that we had seen in the parks just the day before at about 1/4 to 1/2 the price. There are alot of other things besides clothes...toys, books, housewares, anything that you find in the parks ( on a limited basis)!!!! Have fun!!!!:p

YES YES YES! We get some incredible deals at the outlets. So much so that I make them our first stop in Orlando. I always walk out with a huge bag full and only spend around $50.

There are three outlets, two at Belz, and one closer to DTD at Premier outlets.

I have to jump in and say DEFINITELY YES!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Since we found out about the outlets that is also our first stop. Our last trip we stoped there after picking up the rental car at the airport!

Thank you!!

Sounds like it is worth the trip. It also sounds like a great baragin place....I love a baragin! :p

I think we will go there right after we check in on our arrival day. Sounds like a great place to shop! $4-$12 dollar T-shirts?!?! WOW!!!!! I hope I can find some of those ;)

Thank you again for the feedback

One other thing.....

How is the driving to Belz Outlet? How far is it from Disney? Is it a straight shot?

I am not worried about crowds just want to prepare myself ;)

I can't remember how far it is to Disney, but we always make it our first stop to buy our souvies first. I let the kids get hats, t-shirts and christmas orn. and then they don't want to spend more for the same thing at the parks when they have seen how much cheaper that got the same thing at Belz.

We've found it to be hit or miss. Last May we got a bunch of stuff cheap. $58 sweatshirts for under $20. We were there 2 weeks ago and walked out with nothing. Alot of 100 years of magic stuff but it wasn't that cheap. They did have some stuff in bigger sizes.

It is always hit and miss with us. Some years we buy very little and some we buy way too much.........

But I have to say the best time I had was when I just happened to go on a TENT SALE day. 80% off of everything. My husband and I had a blast, even with the huge crowds. We bought sweatshirts, t-shirts, baby toys, CD-holders, etc., etc., etc., etc. Then we got $15 electric razors from Remington. Got home and wished we had bought all they had - just throw them away - cheaper than new blades......

They have tent sales in March and October(17, 18, 19 this year). We were there in October, which was unusual for us. We always go to Disney the 1st to middle of November.

Yes from me too!

There are actually 2 Disney outlets there, and I always check both of them.

Besides that, my favorite store there was the Oshkosh outlet. My DD is 15 (almost 16) now, so it won't help me anymore. I'm not even sure if it's still there, but I loved it and always left with lots of stuff when she was little.

Here are directions to the 4 Disney Outlets:

I am afraid to walk into 4 outlets, I am a compulsive shopper and a Disney-aholic. It could cost me more than my AP.

Is there one (or maybe 2) of the 4 that tend to be better and if so, why?

Thanks
Sandy

I saw that they had an Oshkosh. I told DH we will be checking that store out too.
I also saw a Cartier store....Hmmm....maybe have to check they out too ;)

I'm looking for confirmation on the Oct tent sale dates. If it is the dates you mentioned, we'll be there 10/10-10/20. Woo Hoo!

I usually find better deals at the Universal store (Belz).
I agree the selection at Disney is hit and miss. It's good if you have to buy a lot of "stuff". Specifically if you have to buy gifts for relatives, friends and co-workers. If you've already bought a lot of Disney stuff and are looking for specific or special items you won't be as happy.

We were just there last week and we went to all the outlets, and the one I liked the best by far is the Character Premieum Outlet. I found some great deals and I got a lot of Christmas stuff for practically nothing, some really cute Christmas cards! I walked out with 2 HUGE bags for $40!! I will definetely stop there every trip............
