As long as it tastes good who cares how it's made? I like a Big Mac as much as I like Jay's grilled burgers with red wine mystery marinade.

OK foodies and boozies,
I have a question for you.

If you were living in Belgium, and you were VERY concerned that you'd be moving to the US very soon sad1 and you were (at every possible moment) mourning the possibility that you'll miss about a bazillion places you want to visit......

Would you pack up the car and two kids (10 and 5) and drive around France for 2+ weeks?

My real problem is that I hate driving.

I would do that in a second. That sounds like so much fun.

Lastly, We have booked a trip to Vegas, baby!!!
We will stay 6 nights at Paris on October 11-16. Does anyone have sugestions for a few places we should make reservations for nice dinners? I really wanted Disney's Food and Wine Festival but was out voted. Maybe next year!!! I'm sure Vegas will be amazing though.

I will post the recipes tomorrow night ... the only one I can't share is for the spinach dip (jay keeps that under lock and key ... he's going to make millions with it some day ... ).

But I'll be happy to share the others.

As for Vegas ... that's a great alternative to F&W - you will have a great time.

When we were there last spring we ate at tons of great restaurants:

House of Blues (Mandalay Bay ... lunch and breakfast)
Isla Mexican Kitchen (Treasure Island)
Payard's Patissiere (Sleezer's Palace)
Alize (The Palms)
The Burger Bar (Mandalay Place)
Aqua Konx (The Venetian)
L'Atelier (MGM Grand)


I've heard good things about Emeril's Delmonico Steakhouse (I think that's at the Venetian) and Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill (Sleezer's Palace). Jay's aunt an uncle are crazy about the Grand Lux Cafe at the Venetian (operated by the same folks who own the Cheesecake Factory).

So many good places to eat ... so little time!

So I had to cancel next week's dinner but I found a replacement for this week on Wednesday night! Yeah, I know ... you're thinking: doesn't Jay work late on Wednesday nights? Yep ... except that he has to work this weekend and so this week doesn't have to work late. Clear as mud, right?
