Bellingham, MA Michaels UPDATE - IT'S OPEN!!!!

So it did open today like they said and dd11 & I were there close to 10:00. (Opened at 9) It was funny seeing people driving by and looking in and then pulling over to park.

It seems like it will be a good store. Right now it is very clean, neat, organized, spacious, etc. I think it is smaller than some of the other stores but it looks big due to the high ceilings. Other Michael's people might be able to tell that they have less of - maybe the home decor stuff? The scrap-booking section looks decent enough and I am sure I'll be spending time (and $$$) there. Now I can't remember if I saw any rubber stamps??

I still like AC Moore down the road and I hope they can both stick around.

Swung by there this morning and it looks like they are stocking the shelves! It's strange as I have not seen ANY information about this store such as an opening day or anything else! I am looking forward to it opening as it will save me the ride to Natick and we usually stop at the one in Mansfield on our way home from the Cape.

7/21 Drove by today and the sign says they are opening August 6th - I'll be there!!

Drove by yesterday (and Sunday, but who's counting?), and the sign still says Friday. I'm hoping to be able to go by tomorrow and maybe they'll be open? Not like I neeeeeeeeeeed anything, but you know. New store, research...

I went over after I dropped Morgan at the bus for camp this morning. I think I was the 5th one in the door at 9:01

It's nice. Very clean and neat, but it's no where near as big as the one in Natick.

What do you think they have less of? Is the scrap booking section smaller? Did you see any rubber stamps - I can't remember??? Sure wish they had taken over ALL of the old Linens & Things...why on earth do we need a Golf World???

I was late for work, so I didn't really cruise the whole store, but it seems to be pretty much the same amount of stuff in a smaller store. The store in Natick is just HUGE, and they don't seem to have the same size footprint in Bellingham.
