Belle's hair

Ok, I'm not sure if this is the correct place to be posting, but I didn't see any other appropriate spot so I'm sticking it here!

In a few weeks I'll be traveling north to visit family. While I'm there I'll be seeing my neice who's favourite Disney character is Belle. On the phone, she told me that when I get there, she wants me to do her hair like Belle's in the beginning of the movie, when she's wearing her peasant dress. The way her hair is done...is that in any particular style? My first thought was that it was a french braid, but I don't recall seeing any actual braids. So, is there a name for her style or is it just something you'd have to play around with to get right?

To me it kinda looks like a topsy tail, make a low ponytail and then flip it through.
