Bell Services for split stays

We are doing a split stay and were wondering if there would be any problem bringing our luggage to bell services ourselves instead of waiting for them to come up and get them. It would be so much quicker for us to wheel the bags down and request them to be transferred to the next resort! Is this OK? Also, what is the general suggested tipping amount per bag once bell services brings them up to your room at the second resort?

You definitely can bring your bags to them. We usually tip $2 per bag.
