Being picked to open the parks

I was wondering how a family is picked to open the park for the day?

I think it's all about being at the right place at the right time. We were asked once to open EPCOT, but the CM realized that another CM had just picked another family. We would have been so excited to do it.

1) You could be the first in line at the park.
2) You could be the second in line at the park.
3) You could be the tenth on in line at the park.
4) Get the idea? It is totally random.
5) Families are picked for a variety of reasons.
6) But ALL of them meet certain criteria
. . . happy and friendly looking
. . . energetic
. . . neat appearance, and have that Disney Look (not grundgy, sloppy)
