The Behind-the-Scenes Tour is great. You get to learn how SeaWorld cares for rescued animals (may even get to see some of them), touch a shark, see one of the polar bear dens, and touch a penguin. It is a 90-minute tour - so yes, you can fit it into your day at SeaWorld. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I am trying to decide between this and up close with penguins for our family of 4. The behind the scenes tour is cheaper but seems like it has more? Thoughts on the two?

I'm the same, I can't decide between the tours. Each time I think i've decided I then read about them and change my mind. The problem is they all sound good!

I think for your family it depends on if you only want to see penguins or if you want to see a bit of everything.
