We are interested in taking our DDs (age 16) on the Keys to the Kingdom tour, but the review I read said participants ride the Haunted Mansion and Pirates. We are not able to transfer our girls from their motorized chairs onto either of these rides. Has anyone heard of any kind of substitution being made in the touring plan (with advance notice, of course)?

Thanks!

I recently went on Keys to the Kingdom Tour. I was able to transfer to Haunted Mansion as my wheelchair was brought paralle to the ride vehicle and the ride brought to a complete stop for me to transfer. Pirates I was going to miss and would have waited with my interpreters (had I not had interpreters the guide would have waited with me) at the exit area however the ride was down so no one went on it.
In places where the tour normally uses stairs the group used the stairs and our guide took me and the interpreters via an alternate route. They made sure I was able to participate fully in the tour in spite of my multiple handicaps. I must say that it is a terrific tour.

Thanks for telling me more about the tour. It sounds like you had a great time! Unfortunately, I suspect that even if they stopped the ride as they did for you, it would still be too hard to transfer the girls into the ride vehicle. It would probably still be worth it to us to take the tour, though; I was just hoping they might substitute something else--like another behind the scenes feature--for people who can't participate in everything normally on the tour.
