Beginning to Loathe ADR's

My 180 day for ADR is coming up shortly. Did you book @ 6AM ET using the app with no issues? We are trying to decide the best way to do this. If the app works better than the site we will do that.
Whenever we have tried to use the app on our iPhones it's been about a day behind. Just a heads-up! I hope you don't have any troubles at all!

I have just called for the last couple of years. I always have a problem with the 180 + 10. It never works for me, it is so less stressful to just talk with a friendly cm. :)

1) You are not the only person either calling-in or going on-line for ressies.
2) What does one expect?
3) The Internet has shown MANY people how to make ressies.
4) So, you have to be quick and expect delays due to massive amounts of requests.

1. Yeah - I think most if not everyone on here is aware that there are likely thousands of folks trying to make reservations at one time. 2. I expect better, more reliable service from Disney. It's not a mom and pop shop that was shown on Shark Tank and the owners don't have the ability or finances yet to upgrade their servers.
3. "MANY" is subjective. :)
4. I know DH and I were quick. We woke up at 4:30a central time to make sure we had things lined up correctly.

I expect Disney to be able to handle the capacity of their guests making reservations quite honestly. They built this monster of ADRs required for everything, now they have to support it

Afraid that I ALSO expect WDW, if they are serious about conducting business on the Internet, to provide the front end capacity (Web Servers), BACK end capacity (Data Base server(s)), and bandwidth to be effective. It CAN be done... consider Amazon. They have an INCREDIBLE transaction rate - and the infrastructure to handle it. But that is because Amazon understands that the Internet, as a business tool, MATTERS - and hence, is worthy of investment.

In fact - were I ever asked by Disney? I would contract their entire Web/Database online presence to Amazon Web Services. Check out http://aws.amazon.com/solutions/case-studies/ - these are not donut shops :).

It's ridiculous that I can't make any reservations at all. I select a time and it reverts to 'no times available' for all restaurants.

What does Disney do with all the money they make? They certainly don't plow any of it back into the business :sad2:

The system was down on my ADR day. I ended up missing out on several that I wanted. Boo...
