I'm borrowing the family's video camera for this vacation. I plan on carrying the camera because suitcase can't be locked.

Is it ok to pack the cassettes(film?) in the suit case? At least before they are exposed? If not, can the film going thru the xray machine both ways?

Thanks

Susan

Hand carry and have hand checked all film don't let it go through xray.
Also suitcases are not to be locked anyway. if you lock a suitcase the TSA will simply cut the locks off to inspect it and you are told NOT to lock your lugguge what people do is to use cable ties which can be cut off easily by TSA and which is what they use if they do inspect your bags. just be sure you pack something to cut them with in on unlocked outside pocket of your CHECKED BAGS.

They are tapes, I would think, and not film. If not film, should be fine.

tapes. I couldn't remember the right word. (Love being over 50)

They are tapes, so should be ok to pack in suitcase, right?!

Thanks

Susan
