Before your time is up, name one or two things...

I had 4 things I wanted to do in my life:
1) Go whitewater rafting - done :D
2) Visit the Grand Canyon - done (drove out to the Canyon and flew over it in a helicpoter and landed on the bottom.)
3) Swim with dolphins - done :D
4) Go up in a hot air balloon - still waiting to do that one.

I'll die happy if my son is a well established happy adult out of college. So hopefully I have a few more years to go!

Learn to speak French fluently
Learn to play a musical instrument
Experience my grandchildren
Travel the world
Live on the beach
Work in an art museum

(not much to ask for, eh?)

Most of all, I want to see my kids and grand kids and great grandkids, happy and healthy.

I'd like to travel, there are so many places I'd love to see and experience.

Travel. There are so many places I would love to visit. Living in Florida, we don't see snow. I would love to go to the mountains, rent a cabin and watch the snow fall. Then off to Scotland and then to Poland. My grandmother immigrated from Poland, my great-grandparents immigrated from Poland and I would just love to see their birthplace.

Blondie, you and I need to go to Africa together.
I want to take care of baby chimpanzees and gorillas ( always have been fascinated by them ).
I also would want to learn to play the piano.

I think I'll hang onto Mary's coat-tails: ;)

1) Travel to Scotland and Ireland
2) Cruise to Alaska
3) Have been to 38 states - would like to visit all 50
4) Dance at my children's weddings

i wanna get a tatoo and ride my horse in a show and take first in something!

Annemarie, you and I might be kindred spirits.

I have always wanted to write children's books. I've dabbled in watercolor, and would love to do more. I want to see my 2 girls grown and settled into a happy life of their own. And I want to travel throughout Europe, especially Scotland and Ireland. And I want to go to college.

I want to win the lottery. Just once;) Y'all will like me as a multi-millionaire, I guarantee it.:earsboy:

Travel the world with another adventurous spirit

Have a book published

Live to see our child become a happy, well-adjusted and successful human being

Looks like some of us need to get together for some collabortation...I'd love to write and illustrate a children's book!

1-Go on a dig. Somewhere historic. Maybe Mount Vernon or someplace like that.
2-Go back to Washington DC and spend a lot of time touring everything, especially the Smithsonian. Maybe spend an entire week just there.

You know the funny thing is, I don't like antiques.

I would like to visit New York, London and Paris

And of course see my boys grow up to be well-adjusted men and marry a nice woman and have some grandkids for me!

Only one thing I would want to do:

Go to Arlington National Cemetery where my mom is buried and take a picture of her grave site. She died when I was 13 (34 yrs ago) but I can't seem to get up the nerve to go there.

Hi ElizK,

I have a collection of children's books (I can't remember when I started collecting). There are so many I just love. (Now my children do too. :) I have always wanted to write and illustrate children's books.

I've taken some short classes in creative writing and painting. I even sold a few paintings years ago. I had them in a small gallery. They weren't anything that would stop the earth from spinning or anything. Kind of folksy and colorful. I was so tickled when my first one sold, that I asked the owner what the buyer was like. And she told me the lady said she was feeling down and my little painting lifted her spirits. That really put a skip in my step. I took pictures of the ones I sold, with the intent to recreate them one day. That's on my list of things to do too. Recreate those and ones I gave away.

It would be nice if I could publish a children's book while my little ones are small. I read the author and illustrator's name to them and they know many of them. Wouldn't that be a neat surprise?

Nice to see a kindred spirit!
Annemarie
