Being firm believers in the early bird catches the worm, we plan at being at a different park each morning before it opens. That way we can see the opening ceremonies and get a good start.

I have never been to WDW and at other theme parks I have been to one must wait outside the gates for opening. However, I have seen information that suggests that you can go thru the gates early but wait to enter the "ride" sections of the parks. Does this make any sense? Can someone who often arrives before opening tell me what to expect?

Thanks
Anne

yes, at some of the parks, you can enter just so far, then there is another rope. this is where the opening ceremony takes place. MK had opening ceremony at the turnstiles this december. epcot was at spaceship earth. i don't remember an opening ceremony at AK. and can;t say about MGM. hope this helps. don't forget that there will be a bag search at each park. if you have no bags, camera bags and fannypacks would be considered a bag, then there is a "no bag" line. at MK & AK this is done before reaching the turnstiles, but epcot and MGM it is right at the turnstiles.

Just wishing you again, Anne, a most magical memory making trip, you'll love it. Enjoy the magic of Disney.
