Before opening ADR at CP--still see opening show?

We have gone to several breakfasts in the parks but I usually make late morning ADR's so it actually becomes a brunch. This way we still see the rope drops and "shows", do the headliner rides, THEN go to breakfast. This has always worked. I would like to try an ADR for CP before MK opens. My question: Will we make it on time to see the Mayor, etc. and the train pulling in for opening??? That is one of our favorite events each trip.
