Before I Book ADR is this a crazy plan or do you think it will work?

Here is the reasoning behind my plan. I have never seen Fantasmic. The last time we were in Disney it was pouring rain both times we were going to see it. I want to try to be sure that I see it this time so I am going to ADR the Fantasmic Package.

O'hana is my ALL TIME FAVORITE and a trip to WDW just wouldn't be complete with out it.

Here is what I am thinking for one day.

Late Breakfast 11:30 or so at O'Hana Magic Kingdom for a little while, then to MGM with Fantasimic Dinner for the 8:00 Show,
Then Epcot EMH's

Can that work or is it too much traveling for one day. Planning this for Dec. 28

Are there a limited amount of arm bands for EMH? Do you have to arrive a little before the EMH begins inorder to be sure of getting in?

For example, if park closes at 9:30 will you be able to get into EMH at 10 or 10:30 or do you have to be their by 8:30 or 9:00?

We went to something like EMH in 2002 but you had to buy an extra ticket and only so many were sold a day. Some of our party who didn't buy the ticket early in the week were not able to go.

Its not so crazy to do we do that almost every time we go, so I'm experienced in this field. Anyway, Fantasmic is worth going around for your in for quite a show. Besides your getting to see more of the parks this way so I say do it.

Well yes you can do that alright. But why would you want to? Seems to me like you would be spending a lot of time on traveling around that could be put to better use in one of the parks.

But you don't say how many days you have to spend at WDW, so if your number of days are very limited, I guess your's is a good plan.

Enjoy.

Just be aware that Disney tends to book the Fantasmic ADR as a very early seating (I assume so there is no chance you miss the show!). We've done it at least 6 times and have always had to eat early with this ADR. Our next one is at MM in November and our ADR is for 3:40! So you may still be full from O'Hana's when getting your dinner! But we love having the Fantasmic Dinner Package! Sounds like a full day but doable. Just a note about evening EMH --- others on this board I'm sure will say they love it but we are a.m. people and don't enjoy p.m. EMH. We have always found lots of people and lines. Just MHO.

Have a great trip!

How many times is Fantasmic shown that day? I think that week it is shown 2 or 3 times so I do think it is possible for you to see it.

This past Christmas week, there were 3 Fantasmic shows, but the dinner package is only for the first show. The latest time I could get (at 180 days out) was 4:20 p.m.

I usually do 2 parks each day, ending the early park with lunch in that park, then take an afternoon break before heading to the evening park. Truly essential to plan for an afternoon break during Christmas week...the crowds get really, really, REALLY heavy!

Oh, by the way, I'd AVOID evening EMH parks during Christmas week. They're open late anyway, and EMH parks at night tend to get truly mobbed...you won't get anything done. I'd stick around MGM and see the Osborne lights during the 2nd or 3rd Fantasmic show...they're practically empty at that time, and SO enjoyable!
