can we switch to flip flops and sandals. I dont mind getting my clothes soaked but I would rather my one pair of sneakers stay dry..
THanks

Yes you can. we did when we rode Kali for the same reason. Change them while you're still in line and put your sneakers in a bag.

We do that all the time! Squishy sneakers are the worst. We put ours in a zip lock bag and then store them in the middle bin of the raft.

Good plan! Wet squishy running shoes = blisters! I find it takes a long time for running shoes to completely dry out, too.

We always pack flip flops when we go to AK and change into them and put our sneakers in the bottom of the stroller. We also grab our ponchos and put them on when we get close to the front of the line. Last time I was 2 ponchos short (I thought the ones from the dollar tree were a 3 pack, but were only a 2 pack) and DH and I had to halfway share with the kids. We definately got soaked. Would have anyway since our side of the boat got the good soaking all the way down our backs and into our seats. Wont be riding next time since it will be the end of Dec. and this past time I was so uncomfortable after getting off and having wet clothes for so long.

We kept our feet up on the rail thing, during the ride. This kept our feet dryer.

Just ride with my son and me. We ALWAYS get the wettest on that ride. ALWAYS.

We always do the water shoes & ponchos. We love this ride but I don't like to be wet especially in Jan. Always take plastic bags for the wet shoes.
