Before a trip to WDW, do you ever get that "feeling?"

You know the one--you've planned for months, you've got everything just about where you want it, but now. . . . . THE WAIT!!!!! I'm in that mode. I can't get ENOUGH of Disney (again). I'm on the DIS, I'm on the Disney shopping website, I'm listening to all my CD's, I'm DREAMING about Disney--but yet I have 101 days to wait!!!!!! I started counting at 208--so I should be really happy (and I am). BUT--THE WAIT IS KILLING ME!!!!

Does this happen to other people too?? I would bet it does!!!

That's why I'm on DISboards now! :goodvibes We leave Saturday for OKW!

heck yea. i don't leave for 9 more months!!! AAAAAAAAACk and yet i am alrady dreaming of walking down main street, eating the wonderful food, watching my kids meeting characters, i am going crazy! and i have 9 months to wait!

I know what you mean!!! We have 193 days till we are in the World!! I have been haunting Dis and the Official site and just about any site that vaguely mentions Disney!!! :rotfl: Only 7 more days till I can make our ADRs!!! :woohoo: Then I am just going to drive everyone nuts till the day we leave!!!! The keyboard will be worn out by the day we leave!!!!!

I just finished making all my ADRs this past weekend (13 days worth...it was very hard work). I have my itinerary done; I am still awaiting my DME tags. So all I have left to do is DIS and keep up with all the news (like POC being closed in March - boo hoo).

It happens to me on a very bad level. I always start having nightmares a little while before our trip. I dream that dh and I cant find each other and we are going to be late for our adr............. I spend way too much time on these boards.

I get that feeling. I started getting that feeling when I talked it over with some friends and we decided to make the trip together for 2006, that was in May 2005. I made reservations for me and my DS (16) and even helped them to make a deposit, DFW, DFH and DFD. From that point on I made monthly payments on mine (it's a land/sea package) and after several months they started talking about changing their plans - stay off-site, stay in value resort, move from verandah stateroom on DCL to inside cabin. I just knew they were going to withdraw, this was the second WDW vacation I had tried to plan with them, I was getting nervous. No more! They indicated in December that they weren't going and then it was going to just be the 3 night cruise.

Free at last! Now I am planning the same trip with just us and I don't have to worry about their picky eating and fear of trying new things. It is fun, fun, fun again. I can't hardly stand it - I visit the DIS so often I could probably just stay on every waking second. NOW - that's obsession!

But - I did wait two years in between visits.

Me too!! We only have 16 days left!! I don't get much accomplished that does not pertain to our trip lately. I am on the DIS WAY too much! Don't want to miss something and find out about it when we get back. DH thinks I'm nuts. When I annouced that I was ready to start packing a few things his reply was "Okay, we're only leaving in TWO MONTHS!" Thankfully he has a sense of humor, and he humors me.

We live so close (and yet so far! :sunny: ) that DH and I are both perpetually in that mode. We go for a weekend, and by the next weekend, we're looking at each other and saying, "Were we just at Disney last weekend?? It seems so long ago!"

I know that feeling all to well.. I have 21 days, 5 hours, 8 minutes, and 40 seconds left and it feels like 2 years, 21 days.......

I can totally relate to what you are saying. I have to wait until Father's Day until I am in the parks. I can't wait but as they say. Good things come to those who wait. Well, since I am waiting, I guess that means I am going to have a great trip.

YIPPPEEEE!!!! I'm not CRAZY!!! (I suspected as much!!!) Other people who just don't "get" Disney do not understand my complete obsession with trip planning and all the things leading up to the actual time we go. You know the ones--they wander around MK at 2:15pm and wonder why they can't get on Dumbo or PP!!!! They have that confused, shocked, and awed look when told that all the dining reservations are full until 7:30pm!!! Those are the same people that try to make me feel like I have the problem!! Nice to know I'm among friends here and that we can all obsess together without anyone thinking that we are :goofy: (or maybe we are--but I LOVE it!!)

Ofcourse you are not crazy  ! I am the same way. My DH and I have this weird system. We go to WDW. When we get back my job is to work on him for our next trip, i.e.- possible dates, cost, length of time, new reasons to go back, etc... We do this for a couple of months then he breaks down and agrees to go several year away. Then I begin working onhim tomove the date closer. After a couple of months I win princess: . Then we book and I start planning. Then I try to plan a little at a time so that I can keep up the excitement and not watch the clock tick by but that almost never works. Finally I sit like you waiting, internally screaming for more Disney to get me through. Either you are not crazy or the rest of us are too and that makes you very normal here. :thumbsup2

Yeah man! :thumbsup2 I'm feeling that now, i'm leaving in about a week! SO EXCITED I CAN'T STAND IT. When I come back, there will be tons of pictures and trip reports for you all! :)

Oh that feeling...I know it very well. Happens every trip. It seems worse this time since I am meeting up and doing activities with other people. The past few times I was not this bad due to the simple fact that it was just DH and I and we are pretty chill while at Disney.

THIS time, we have SO many ADRs (which I am glad for, since I believe it will be busy when we go), and actual days planned for each park. We haven't done thissort of planning in a long time.

I just pray everything goes smoothly.

Oh, and do you get that sinking feeling like...YAY I am excited my trip is almost here, but OH NO, that means my trip will almost be over?

I hate that feeling...going through that one too
:guilty:

I pretty much have that feeling all the time. We are going March 3rd.....and I am already so psyched!

I get that feeling everyday and look at how darn long I have to wait til my next trip :furious:

I figure that if I can drive my DH crazy enough for the next year that he will take me before hand for a quick trip :sunny:

I HATE WAITING!!!!! I want to go now!!!!!!!!!!!! :yay:
I have everything done except for my daily itineraries and my birthday t-shirt!! Those will be done any day now.........Come on MAY!!!!!

I know exactly where you are coming from. I scheduled my lastest trip over a year ago. It was such a long wait, I scheduled a quick, surprise family trip last Dec. Now, it is finally coming to the time for the trip and I am going crazy! Luckily, things at work have been slammed before vacation (I guess not that slammed if I'm on the DISboards ;) ), which is actually making the days go fast.

But hang in there, 100 days goes faster than you think.

BTW, Safari Queen, see you down there. We will be heading to OKW too on Sunday. :thumbsup2

Boy do I know that feeling. We went last September. I had such fun planning everything and when the there was no more planning left I was so BORED. Then all I had to do was sit and wait, then I found this board and loved it. It is hard to sit and wait for your time to come............
