Any question why I love her?

Maybe DCL can be the first to offer a micro brewery at sea. Instead of upturned noses at the wine/champagne tastings and classes they could offer beer making afloat 101 and have upturned stiens. If they do, you heard it here first!!

Oh year a beer tasting now that is a good time.

There used to be a real good one at the University of Penn. I mean organized not just hanging out and falling over. Held in the musium

I am falling over in my chair laughing - You guys are great - MY DH would love to be on the same cruise as you guys - Then maybe we could split the price of the crane drop!

I have to agree with zurgs wife - miller lite and "good beer" do not belong in the same sentence -

Microbrew sounds great!!! where do we sign up -

Do you think Shirley could make a gift basket out of a keg? That would be one way to get it on the ship!

Cheers!

Karen

KaitlinsMom....that sounds like a great idea....:D :D :D :D

Hey I like micros also! It is just not something I can guzzle on a regular basis. Stuff is a little too expensive and filling to suck down in larger quantities. I do like the German stuff though. I went to Munich almost 3 years ago, so I know what the real stuff is. It just isn't that fresh at least where I buy it.

German stuff definately is not fresh over here.......but Micro and homemade beer IMHO is the best....the american beers are a large percentage water...and I enjoy a beer with more body, and can drink far more of these then any american beer.....

anyhow everyone has there own favorites.....enjoy...:D :D

"Sawtooth Ale" brewed by Left Hand Brewing Co., Longmont, CO. Now there's a good American Microbrew. Hard for me to find now that I'm out of Colorado, though. I have to resorrt to Redhook ESB, Pete's Wicked, and Sam's Stock Ale (uh, that's Sam Adams, not Sam's Club).

I'm feeling the love. Just sitting here at work drooling. Another hour and I shall be reaching for a chilly Yuengling Lager. (pronounced ying ling) A fine German crafted brew from America's oldest brewery. Family owned as well!!

Vitamin Y!

I like the porter and black & tan they make.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm... a cold Yuengling on tap as I watch the Reading Phillies on a warm summer night. One of the few pleasant memories of my business trips to Reading. (Note to those outside Pennsylvania, Reading is pronounced "Redding".)

Actually, you can get Yuengling at the Publix in Cocoa Commons! I was quite surprised to see it outside its traditional distribution area.

Zurg, I also enjoy the Porter and Black and Tan. Dave, being that I grew up outside of Reading, I too enjoyed some lovely Lagers on tap at the Phillies games.

Yuengling is currently being produced in three locations now. Pottsville has the original brewery still producing, a new brewery was recently opened just a few minutes from Pottsville and one is in operation in Tampa, Florida. On a tour of the original brewery last summer we were told that 90% of the production is dedicated to Lager!! In addition to Porter, and Black and Tan, they also brew a new Lager Light, Premium, Premium light, and Chesterfield Ale(the strongest in the line). I'm at work and drooling once again. Only 8 more hours to go...........

And just in case you were in need of more info:

Interesting web site... I didn't know they'd purchased a brewery in Tampa. That would explain the availability in Florida. Now if they'd only find a distributor in the Atlanta area...

We'll fly in and then take the Disney transfer to the Magic.
I thought we could pick up some beer at Key west. Any problems there getting on the ship with beer or wine?

We'll be on deck 8 near the aft elevator. Having the beer/wine in our room will save us $$ and steps. It looks like the bars are located forward or decks below us...what were we thinking???

I hear it isn't an issue Toot. See the earlier part of the post for the appropriate fork lift truck. LOL

You all have given me such a nice laugh this evening!!!! Between these posts and the one on thongs, I've been quite entertained. I'm not much of a beer drinker, but I am enjoying a very tropical drink as I'm reading tonight. Thanks for the laughs!

Yuengling that brings back memories. You can't find it here in Illinois. We discovered it when visiting my sister and her husband in Penn. We were totally surprised to find it in Orlando on our last trip. It was quite a coincidence too because my sister and her husband were on the trip with us when we found it. Now it has kind of become our theme beer or I guess you would call it a tradition.
