Beer prices...

We're traveling down in two weeks and are planning on ordering some snacks and drinks from Garden Grocer. Hubby would also like some beer ordered
How much is a dozen beer in the US? I know it's cheaper than here, but by how much?

I picked up 18 Bud Lite at Publix for about $12. A 6 pack at the resort was $22ish. 1 beer at the pool bar $5.

We only paid $10 for a 6pack at the ASMovies resort.

If you are plan on buying Canadian beer in the states, be aware that it tastes different. now, i don't drink beer, but i brought back a case for DH from shopping in USA, and he said it tasted like water.

Garden Grocer is not allowed to sell beer via their website, but you can still have them deliver it to you! On your order form there will be a Comment box. You can give delivery instructions here and you can ask for your favorite US brand beer. We asked for Coors Light 'cause that was the only brand we could think of at the time. They'll put a note on your receipt telling you to call them to pay the balance...that'll be your beer charge. Our 12-pack was $11.76 including tax.

Its good to have a cold beer waiting after a long day of travelling or in the parks. No worries!

If it is cold and it is a hot day it still taste pretty good after a day in the park.

Corona still taste the same down there so I just remember to bring along a bottle opener and I am all set.

Thanks for the info! I ordered yesterday from Garden Grocer...and I added the beer we would like. When do you receive a receipt? I haven't seen anything yet.

When your groceries are delivered, there'll be a copy of your order included. They just scribbled a note on mine to let me know to call them and what the charge was.

On another note....you may wish to call them with your cell phone instead of the room phone. I had read a note somewhere on this or another board about a potential security breach when using room telephones. Interestingly, there was a little instruction card by the phone in our room recommending that credit card information not be discussed over the phone.
