Guinness !!! Thats good, the irish in me won't allow me to go a week with out it , I'll just have to live with it being in a can (I'm spoiled, I keep it on tap at home )
Wow! I'm impressed - around here there is ONE Irish pub that has Guinnes on tap. Otherwise on the RARE occasions when you can find someplace that has it cans are the order of the day.
Having it on tap at home is one that is truly committed!
Three cheers for a person who has a Guinness keg at home. A Man/woman with there own keg can get a proper 119 second "slow-pour".
Are you a member of the "1759 club"?
I settle for Harp over here since you really can't get a decent pint here of the black gold. (I know it's a lager, but we've already compromised, haven't we).
Yes, I am a member of the 1759 club, (in fact I packed my 1759 polo shirt for the cruise last night), putting Guinness of tap gave me an excuse to build a bar in the family room, funny thing is my wife use to hate the stuff, but now she has gone to the "dark" side, and she'll be the first to tell you it is considered a light beer as far as calories go. If you look around you can get a kegorator used and then you just have the expense of buying a nitrogen tank , Guinness needs to be tapped w/a nitogen & C02 mixture (called beer gas), and the regular C02 tank will not work.
Bottoms up !
p.s. here is a pic of my bar w/yours truely having a pint.
