Beer mug package

Does anyone know if you can get something besides beer? I don't really like beer, but was wondering if I could get something like a hard cider if I buy the mug package. I assume wines and mixed drinks wouldn't be allowed as a substitute. Do they sell just the mugs in the gift stores? Thanks

Yes, you can get hard cider in the beer mugs, assuming they have hard cider on tap. On the Fantasy, last month they replaced Strongbow with one of the US domestic ciders (Redd's wicked, perhaps). The Dream did not have cider the last time I was on it. The Magic had Strongbows last year.

The mugs are on the heavy side but I can tell you that it helps in a situation where you are on deck on a windy day. On one particular windy day at sea the wind was so strong I watched a woman's drink get blown right off the table. When the mug is empty you can simply turn it in at any bar and they'll hand you the token. So it's real easy and a good deal.

Yes. Just keep the mug after you finish your last beer and pack it to go, if you'd like.

This is a little off topic, but does anyone know if they have any alcohol free beers on board? My husband doesn't drink anymore, but he does enjoy an alcohol free beer or wine sometimes. TIA!

Or exchange it for a clean mug at the bar. That way your spouse doesn't complain about the suitcase smelling like stale beer because your husband didn't rinse out his mug before it got packed. Hypothetically, of course.

Yes, but it's much easier to bring back the token on your next cruise (assuming you can still find it) than packing the mug each time. Maybe buy two mugs on your first cruise, and just bring one mug home for the souvenir, and just carry the token for the other.

Oh man! So earlier this year I was at my folks' house and spotted one of the beer mugs in the kitchen cabinet. I knew exactly what it was and where it came from. My brother must have bought it on one of his cruises. My mom told me to take it home with me since he won't need it anymore. (He passed away this past November.) I totally had it in my mind that I'd bring the mug with me on my upcoming cruises & use it. But do I want to lug it around because THAT mug will NEVER be swapped in for a token or clean mug. Decisions!!! UGh. Maybe I'll just bite the bullet & buy another one.

If you want to make sure you keep that mug for sentimental reasons then do not bring it. Sometimes the bars can get busy and it could get swapped out before you know it. To me it seems a no brainer to just buy another mug. When you think about all the other expenses in a Disney cruise, $15 is nothing.

I saw it on the in room gift section. For 14.98 you can get a souvenir mug and get 21 oz refills for the 16oz price.

There's definitely cider on the Fantasy. You can either order ahead of time, so it's in the room when you arrive, or I think you can buy at any of the bars when you get there. It's a roughly 22oz DCL mug that they fill for the lower price. If you're planning on having a more than a few ciders, definitely the way to go.
