lets help us convince disney they need more beer at MK. we all know that BOG serving beer and wine isn't enough. what beers pair with what lands/rides.

- Liberty Square - Homebrewing with the Presidents
- Gaston's Tavern - Actual beer
- Main Street - Some speakeasy with prohibition style lagers.
- Tommorowland - The future of beer making. New hops that area being produced.
- Winnie the Pooh - Not necessarily beer but some honey mead
- Stitch - I see him making some prison hooch.

Liberty Square - IBC root beer
Gaston's Tavern - A & W root beer
Main Street - Barqs root beer
Tomorrow Land - Dad's root beer
Winnie the Pooh - Barrel Head root beer
Stitch - Hire's root beer

As you can tell I'm quit OK with the MK remaining dry other than BOG... But hey, that's just me and it really doesn't bother me if others want to drink in the MK. The only time I have ever been bothered by someones drinking was a few years ago at Epcot when some dude decided that he would find a tree to extract the brew from his being in the Canadian Pavilion. :crazy2:

I like that. As much as I love "Drinking around the world" in EP and enjoying some libations in AK or DHS, I'm quite fine with MK as it is. Honestly I'd like to see beer eliminated from BOG and if there must be something, let it be wine.

I think Walt's memory is dishonored and diminished by turning MK into a wet park. It's counter to his vision and quite honestly there is no place like MK, alcohol just doesn't belong or fit in.

Irony: I say that with a very stiff aged rum sitting next to me, lol

LOL!!!!!!! I would not mind wine served at dinner, but I am chuckling now. My friend totally HATES MK, but her little girls love DIsney so in December I am dragging her sorry carcass with us, kicking and screaming the whole way so we can take my precious Princesses again. SHe is already telling me that in order to suffer through the MK she needs to buy one of those pocket books that dispense wine! Truthfully, if she enters the parks with us ( I told her she cannot and she told me not to threaten her with a good time) I will need that handy dandy purse! LOL!

I'd prefer fancy cocktails based on the characters' traits, for example (and I'm not good at this) Snow White's Red Apple Martini, etc.

It is kind of funny how Walt's vision didn't necessarily go hand in hand with what he liked as a person. I really don't care either way, it doesn't bother me that they serve at BoG and it wouldn't bother me if they added more to other areas of the park. Doesn't bother me that they don't have more now. But I don't think it would diminish the park and Walt to have alcohol.

As you can see from the early replies,"we all know" is not the case. Your opinion, perhaps. But NOT FACT.

This thread seems to be one-sided leaning towards no beer at MK so I am jumping in to say I would LOVE to be able to get a beer in a speakeasy on Main St. :drinking1

I am a big fan of wine & beer in bog and wish it were available in Skippers and I might even eat at Tony's if I could get a nice sangiovese but beer stands - not so much.

Well--a lot DO get wasted unfortunately.

I wouldn't mind a few bars INSIDE a MK restaurant where alcohol was served.. or getting TS with beer and wine.

But not the ability to carry it out and walk around the MK swilling beer.

I don't mind the beer at BOG, a drink with dinner is one thing. But keep the bar carts at Epcot! Magic Kingdom is supposed to be for kids! I don't need my 4 yo asking me why that man over there is hugging a tree or whatever. I like alcohol just as much as others, but I can forgo a drink to make it more family friendly for all.
