If you've been to WDW for a birthday, what kind of perks did you receive if any? I know perks aren't guaranteed but it would be fun to know what people have gotten in the past.

1. Birthday button

On the same topic; obviously your birthday is only for one day but it has been said to get a button at each park in the morning? Do you have them wear their birthday button for your whole vacation?

We just wear the button on the day of the birthday. I have gotten the Goofy birthday phone call, had the staff at Prime Time sing Happy Birthday to me after they stuck a candle in my pie. Also got a magical moment on Journey into your Imagination.

Many castmembers wished me Happy Birthday. It was a fun day.

Last Jan, my son turned 4 while we were at WDW. He wore his button all day at MK. Everywhere he went, the CMs wished him Happy Birthday. On Buzz Lightyear, the CMs all got together and sang a special Buzz birthday song to him. So many CMs gave him stickers, he was covered (usually gave one to his sisters too). We had a birthday dinner scheduled at LTT and had ordered a cake too. When we arrived, the CM took DS behind the checkin desk and had Goofy call with his birthday message. Then they had our table all decked out in streamers and confetti. As for the cake, it was DELICIOUS!! He had a fabulous time.

We went in May for DD's 4th birthday. We started the day at 1900 Park Fare. When we checked in, she got the Goofy phone call. At our table, there was an autographed placemat with all the restaurants characters and a tiara. Our server was wonderful and brought out the birthday cupcake with a candle just as Alice came to visit our table. Alice sang "happy birhtday." It was so great. We went to MK after that and got the birthday button. CM's and guests all over wished my DD happy birthday. She got an autographed balloon from Goofy and Max and got to be in the Storytime with Belle show. It was such a magical day. We ate dinner in the castle and again the table was decorated with confetti and our server sang as he brought out another cupcake. When we went back to our room at CSR, there were balloons and a card and picture from Mickey and Minnie. WDW birthdays are the best for kids.

Just a reminder that it isn't a guarantee to get any of these things. If you want to surprise your child arrange and pay for a cake, etc.

Last week we were in Disney for me son's 8th birthday. We were staying at concierge level. I called ahead to the concierge and asked if they could decorate our room when we were at the park. When we returned to our room there were lots of balloons and streamers all around. I had my son's gifts all laid out on the bed. He also rec'd a birthday photo.

We ate at O'Hana's that evening. The waiter's all gathered around table and sang Happy Birthday.
:sunny: He loved his day!:sunny:
