1982-1984 stationed in US army 50 miles up river, cheap overnight lodging on madison or park....anyhow. wife is listening to Bluebloods and I heard a siren and it occured to me that sirens in the canyons of NYC is a truly unique sound.

riding train to Union Station for Disneyland trip out of salem, never on time, so rode a bus to arrowhead . Now, in order to save money, if riding to disneyland, have to catch a bus train bus north of frisco, down 99E to Bakersfield then bus to train station, to catch train.d Train travel has changed for those in sleepers and now with my cancer issues, I could never endure the 30 hours. and I still have a vochurer to buy a new ticket for rides in salem.
