Been a lurker here for a while now.....

....so today I decided to finally officially join. I have enjoyed all the threads and great photos and hope I will be able to contribute. Photography has been a hobby for me since I was about 10 and got a Polaroid camera from Santa. So here I am 40 years later with a renewed interest since purchasing my Nikon DSLR. Even though I am a Nikon fan I LOVE that Canon commercial that says ... "Photography is a journey, how will you remember the trip??"

Ok I won't ask but.......... (just for giggles what would happen if I DID ask about UV filters as lens protection?? I do sometimes wear rose colored glasses so this info could be helpful)​

Yikes....good luck......I'm out of here!!!

J/K....I think the camp here is split on the issue. Some think it affords extra protection for the lense and other believe it can affect the image quality and a lens hood is all you need for protection.
