I curious how comfortable the beds and pillows are in the Staterooms. We will be staying on deck 7, category 5 room.
My 2 year old can't sleep on really BIG Puffy pillows, so I'm wondering if I should bring his flat one along?
And will my mom be comfortable on the pull out couch bed?
Thanks for any info!

I hate big puffy pillows and swear by my foam one. None of the ones in the stateroom suited me, I just had to use the flattest one I could find. I'm picky about mattresses as well and don't find the stateroom ones firm enough.

I asked for a feather pillow from our cabin host as soon as we got there. He brought me two! I suppose you can ask for a flat pillow if you want.

the sofa bed isn't a traditional "pull out" sofa ... it flips over (hard to explain) and fairly comfy (DH was teasing DD that he was takin' the sofa)

I found the bed comfortable on the ship, but I brought my own pillow from home, as I usually take it with me whenever we travel, otherwise I don't sleep very well.

I was really impressed with how comfortable the beds were in the stateroom. I don't know if it was just because I was exhausted or what, but I slept through the night every night and I never even do that at home!! The pillows were pretty big though. We gave our 5 year old the flattest of them all, but it was still fairly big.

:sunny:

We also thought the pillows were too big and fluffy, so we mentioned it to our stateroom host and she brought us two feather pillows - just like the other poster mentioned. When you lay on them, they pretty much collapse away to a very flat state. That worked better for us. We were deck 8, cat 4 and were comfortable on our beds.
