Please forgive the completely newbie question, but I just browsed the hotels and they all say "double" beds. What is the size of the double bed? In the US a double bed is fairly small and would be OK for 2 adults to sleep in, but not ideal. The moderate and deluxe hotels in WDW have queen beds.

So, are any of the double beds in the Disneyland Paris hotels actually queen beds?

I think they are queen size, it's just in Europe we use the term single, double or king size. When talking about beds

In Europe a double bed is 4' 6" wide. Some rooms in some hotels have king size beds which are 5' wide instead of 2 doubles. You can ask for 1 of those rooms by emailing your hotel a week before you go.

To be honest, they are a good size, and you get two remember (in all but the Cheyenne). So if there are just two adults sharing a room, have a bed each ;-)

We have 2 adults and 2 kids, so unfortunately, we would have to share beds.

So, do any of you know which of these would be the size of a "double" bed at the Disneyland Paris hotels?

4' 6" wide (or 54 inches or 138 cm) is a full size bed
5' (or 60 inches or 152 cm) is a queen
6' 4" (76 inches or 195 cm) is a king (twice the size of a single or twin)

And does the size of the double beds vary according to the resort category (i.e., are the double beds at Disneyland Hotel wider than a double bed at Cheyenne hotel)?

I'm hoping someone here will know.

We were at Sequoia Lodge in early June of this year and were disappointed in the bed size. I have a US queen size bed and our two beds were smaller so I would guess they are what we call a double. I was hoping that the double meant two beds, but the double was the size. Overall, I was disappointed in the room in many aspects, not just the bed size.

It's a 4'6" - a normal double. I'm sure are the same in all hotels, just rooms get bigger. You will get a Queen in a suite or a "double" room which just has one bed. Not like WDW at all I'm afraid.
