Okay, so I have decided recently that I missed spending time on the Disboards. Before planning our 2 week trip to WDW last September I was online everyday. When I returned I wanted to continue spending time reading through threads all day long, but never seemed to be able to find the time.

Well, here I am with a job that allows me to work from home and lots of free time lately (I have no idea how I have free time with a 17 month old DS!)

Anyway, I've been struggling to lose the baby weight I gained while pregnant. I've always been athletic and in really good shape, not having to constantly worry about what I ate because I was always participating in something active.

Times are different now. After being pregnant and gaining almost 60 pounds (yikes!!!) I've had a really hard time getting back to my old size.

I'm a bit shocked I'm posting this for the world to read, but here are my current stats:
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 210

My goals are to get to 150# and I have also just signed up for the Princess 1/2 marathon & 5K next March. I figure that the next 10 months will be devoted to training and learning how to eat healthy.

I'm tired of feeling sluggish and overweight. I'm 27 now and want to start having energy to keep up with my DS who seems to get faster and faster each day. :)

Anyway, I'm not sure how exciting my journal will be, but I'm mostly writing so that I will be accountable for exercising and watching what I eat each day. I'm hoping that keeping a journal will help me reach my goals weight wise and also to run in the 1/2 marathon in March.

So I guess my first question should be where to start in regards to eating healthy. I hate the word "Diet" and I am looking for something that will last long term.

I know there are a lot of eating plans out there and I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations for someone trying to lose weight as well as train for a running event.

Thank you :)

I was trying to find a recent photo so that I could post as my "before" photo. I know that we take a lot of pictures in our household, but I never realized how many photos were only head shots of me.

So, here is a photo from Christmas.

Since having my son I gained a lot of weight in my stomach, thighs and rear end! Hoping to tighten and tone and also just tone up my arms and lose some of the extra weight in my face and throughout my body.

Okay, that's my last post for the evening. Need to get ready for bed and get ready to start this journey tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it, but feeling a bit overwhelmed on how to get back on track.

Becky

I am new here too.
Needed to start some accountability.
I have been doing Weight Watchers for about 16 months and would never do
anything else. I am able to eat regular food. It is also easy to do with still
having to feed three growing kids and a 6'1" hubby who has never had a weight
problem in his life.
You can check out their website if you are interested.
But in a nut shell, you will be eating regular food and reading the calories, fat
content, and dietary fiber off the nutritional information to determine how many
points each item gets. You have a set of points you get each day depending on
your age and current weight.
If you are interested please feel free to PM me any questions.
Good luck!!! I will keep reading your updates and encouraging where I can.

PS
You are adorable and have a very cute family.
