Beckie's Babblings- on the "beach" (comments welcome)

I'm feeling pretty good compared to some of the previous days. I still am struggling with some panic attacks and anxiety but nothing like the past month. I've walked for 3 days this week. and am eating more normally. smaller portions and no seconds, I get most of my list done each day and am beginning to plan my trip again. I would love it if our weather would warm up. We have been about 60-65 degrees all month. They say it might get to 70 this weekend. That would be great since we have a soccer tournament 220 miles south. I'm really excited to go and have fun watching my kids play soccer. I will also get to see my son. It will be a nice little get away. I am ready for a bit of a change. Hope everyone is hanging in there!

Just ppping in to say hi. It sounds like you are definately sounding more up. Great job with the eating and walking. That is huge. Enjoy the soccer tournament.

Well, the girls did very well at their tournament. They played so well and took third against some tough city teams. Got to see my son and his girlfriend. On the 1st of July he closed on his first house. He is so happy. I've been running two - three miles every other day. It really feels good to be doing something. The scale isn't moving and my clothes aren't any looser yet but I think I will get there if I keep at it. It may get a little harder since I'm working m,t,w through July but I think I can do it. One day at a time. I'm really starting to plan the trip. Narrowing all my choices and making decisions. Feels good to commit. Going to keep it up. Thanks for listening.
 
I haven't really been gone but have been posting on the Marathon Training Thread and was getting too long winded so I thought I should come back to this journal. I'm dropped 12 pounds, 1 size and am running a 10 K next Sat. I joined a curves like club that has oliptical bikes so that when it is 30 below here , I can still keep moving. I am running about a 16 minute mile. That is fast enough to finish the 1/2 Marathon without getting swept. That is my main goal. I am cutting my WDW trip down a bit . Guess I was not being realistic about $$. Have some new ideas. Just thought I would repost. Oh, I am not on the strict South Beach anymore. I am trying to just cut carbs when I can.
