I need to find a small (18 inch or so) nite stand with at least one drawer. I would prefer an antique finish in a red color, but unfinished or any wood would do for now. I need it NOW so a B&M store is needed.

I have been to:
1. Home Goods (found perfect table, got it home-leg was broken). It was the last one in the store and I've been to other HG's and nothing.

2. Michael's
3. Joann's
4. AC Moore
5. Pier I Imports
6. Target (close in the kids furniture section)
7. Christmas Tree Shops
8. Walmart (yeah rite)
9. Marshall's
10/. TJ Max
11 Ann& Hope Outlets

Thanks!!!!

Bed Bath & Beyond?

They have some things on their website that fit your requirements (not the red one though). I guess you could call your local store and see what they have in stock.

I bet Ikea would have one, but that may be too far of a drive.

I know Ikea would have something, but its a bit of a drive and everything requires assembly.

Dawson..that is absolutely perfect. But again, I am not allowed near power tools:rotfl:

I thought of Bed Bath and Beyond..going to their website right now.

Thanks you gals!!

Do you have any kind of unfinished furniture store near you? We've gotten some really good deals on shelves, nightstands & our entertainment center plus other things by going that route and they're all wood not particle board. We have a local store so we just walk in and walk out with what we want. Some pieces we've stained, some we've not. I've actually got a piece exactly you're wanting that came from the Unpainted furniture store.

do you have a Kirklands? Cost Plus World Market? Hobby Lobby? Sams Club or Costco? Crate and Barrell or Pottery Barn?Meijer? Those will be more $ but if you need it now...
Funny you should say that about Home Goods...I was going to say I saw a table in there yesterday after work..$39, 16", one drawer, red with a wood color top...I was looking for my mom who is in a studio retirement aparment. Anyway, I was like, SCORE! I got it up to the register and saw a thumb sized hole on the side panel...I was so bummed! I was going to tell you them right off the bat but then read you had tried.

Do you live near a Sears? I stumbled upon a perfect little round table with a drawer and a lower shelf. It's finished nicely, was inexpensive and makes an ideal little lamp table. This was last year and I haven't checked out any of their furniture recently:hippie: Happy hunting!

You're in Pawtucket so here are some local places that I can think of here in southern MA/Northern RI:

Burlington Coat Factory in Woonsocket (Diamond Hill Road)
Big Lots
Ocean State Job Lot - also on Diamond Hill Road - you just never know what they'll have there
Foxboro Furniture Outlet in Foxboro, MA

Also, did you try Cardi's Basement in So. Attleboro? They have some great stuff there at a bargain. (ETA - this is in the basement of the regular Cardi's store. To get there you get on the elevator on the first floor and go down).

Plus, Macy's in the Emerald Square Mall has a small furniture section. The J.C. Penney there also had a small furniture section but I'm not sure if they still do. You can also do ship to store there and have it in a couple of days.

My son has almost exactly like what you are talking about in his room, in red from Ikea.

You gals really rock!!! I luv you all and I don't even know you.

Unfortunately most of the store listed such as Hobby Lobby, Mejer, don't exist in my part of the country (although I'd be in trouble if they did).

3boymthr-Thanks. I looove the Cardi's basement. Going there today. Havent been to FOxboro Furniture, but will go tomorrow since I'm going to the AAA travel show.

The Millstores were a thought of mine but two problems; 1. How expensive would it be; 2. Paint isn't really my friend either. All right, I'll just admit it. I AM NOT A CRAFT PERSON. I would love to be, but I just can't do it:dance3:

Since you're going to Cardi's, I thought of a couple of other places that are in the area -

On Route 1:

Goodwill/Salvation Army store if you don't mind used
BJs Wholesale

On Newport Ave - same side of the road as Cardi's:

Yankee Trader (I haven't been there in a while so this could be gone but they were there for over 20 years). Mostly unfinished stuff but they do have some stuff that is finished.

There is also a Bob's Discount Furniture

and finally in downtown Attleboro, Swanton's Furniture - right near the offices for the Sun Chronicle.

ETA - one more place to try since you'll be over that way, but it's not exactly budget - the Mansfield Country Store. A great place to visit, they have tons of nooks and crannies and you never know what you'll find there. Plus bring a few quarters and try the player pianos.

I am a fan of Savers but not Goodwill, although I did get my hidden mickey ikea print from there. Bob's and BJ's don't have anything. Have never seen Yankee Trader...and I travel ROute 1 EVERY SINGLE day.

I think my best bet is going to be Ikea. They have exactly what I'm looking for but I hate the thought of having to put it together... Oh well..

Thanks again everyone!!!!!

OP...not everyone here is a "gal"...

Believe it or not, some of the fellas like to save a buck or two, also.
