Because I'm up early....some thoughts for the day...

I was in line at the Apple Store at 7:30ish.....behind 800 - 900 other fools.

We ditched and were home before 9am.

For me thats early.

Oh. No. you. didn't. We you in line for Harry Potter last Friday too??? :rotfl:

Nothing is worth being in a line at 7:30am for. Well....almost nothing.

My alarm went of at 6:30.

That's like the middle of the night.

:rotfl:I agree! DH, on the other hand, is always up by 4AM, sometimes earlier...we have actually passed each other on the stairway - he getting up, me going to bed.

This is exactly why we got out of line.

We talked about how crazy it was for folks to be waiting in those crazy lines and here we were doing the same thing.

We felt like hypocrites and more than a but silly.

I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed.
And on the pedestal these words appear:
"My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!"
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away........................Percy Shelley.............Ozymandias actually refers to Ramesses the Great of Egypt............Good Morning:)

Too bad you didn't realize this before getting up at 6:30am. :rolleyes1

I was just complaining because I had to get up at 9am today.

I will never understand "morning people."

My alarm went of at 6:30.

That's like the middle of the night.

I was up, showered, pre-breakfasted, dressed, 'aired' the dogs and driving to work by then. :confused3 But then again, when 11pm rolls around my eyelids are drooping something fierce.

Thanks for the laughs this morning, Kevin. I really really needed them :)

I love you Kevin!!!
You're so punny!!! Exactly my kind of humor!!
I only get eye rolls from people around here when I am being punny!!

My dogs have learned that they dont get "aired" until my feet hit the floor. I think they have learned self-hypnosis.

By the time that your alarm rang I had been at work for 1/2 hour. Many things can be accomplished before the phones start to ring.

This works at 1:00am as well....but my office is 15 feet from my bed.

I've run 3 miles by 0630. You guys are slackers!!!! (i wish i were you):sad1:

I've run three miles since 1986.:rotfl2:

This is the way it is in my house five days a week! I just woke up for my day. :rotfl:

I think you'll find a lot of office workers (like me!) are enjoying that comment. ;) My alarm will go off earlier, but I can snooze until 6:30am as "last call" before I need to get ready for work.

And the timestamp on your original post might have been 9:23am for east coasters, but mine said 8:23am to adapt for Central time. I bet the west coast people thought you were posting at 6:23am.

Thanks for the laugh! I needed it on a busy day.
My alarm clock goes off at 5:30am. My other alarm (my 2 year old) frequently "goes off" earlier than that!
I usually get to work by 7am. On my "late days" I get to work at 8am. I dream about sleeping late...

Amanda

My time stamp says 2.32pm :thumbsup2 But at 9.32am (5 hours ahead) I was talking to an American collegue about why we need an XRF spectrometer :thumbsup2

They werent handing out Kool Aid.

They were handing out Apple Juice.

Kool Aid would just be silly.

:rotfl2:
Thanks for the laughs today Kevin. You made my day more managable. I am one of those weird morning people, although I am the only one in my house besides my cats. The rest of the family get mad when I wake them up in the mornings. DH says anyone who wakes up as cheerful as I do should be shot in the morning. During school time, I get up at 4:30 am. I walk the dogs & feed them, feed the cats, take my shower, do my hair & make-up & fix everyones lunches before I wake anyone else up. Of course, I can't stay up as late as they do at night either

Mahatma Gandhi walked barefoot everywhere, to the point that his feet
became quite thick and hard. He also was quite a spiritual person.
Even when he was not on a hunger strike, he did not eat much and
became quite thin and frail. Due to this diet, he wound up with very
bad breath. Therefore, he came to be known as a . . .

Super calloused fragile mystic with chronic halitosis.

**thank you....I'll be here all week! Tip your waiters, try the veal!**
