Beaver Tails

You get them at a little stand in Canada in Epcot. They are basically like fried dough (although Ive heard they arent actually fried), with a variety of toppings to choose from. We have always gotten the cinnamin & sugar which is delicious.

Where do you get them? - Canada, EPCOT. There is a small booth by the walkway to Le Cellier.

What is in them? Check out this link.
Beavertails

Almost like a fried dough type of pastry.

I've always wanted to try thse but in 12 years, every time I pass by they've been closed. Are they only open certain hours or certain times of the year. We usually go in May, October or December.:(

The small stand in front of Canada. Trapper Bobs is the name. Dont forget to ask the CM to sing the Beaver Tail song.::yes::

We tried about 8:30 one night in 8/02 and they were closed. We also tried in the afternoon in 8/03 and were told they opened at 3:00. We actually planned our touring around how to be back in that area at 3:00, LOL! I dont know if its 3:00 every day,or if it just happened to be 3:00 that day.

We had them twice last week. Voted as our best snack at WDW by 4 out of 5 of us.

They come with many toppings. Our favorite was the chocolate hazlenut. They weren't open during the day, but in the evening they were. The cost was $3.25 to $3.50 each. They are big too!

Have Fun!!

I recently read on the Canadian Visitor's Board that the stand at WDW was using whole wheat baked Beaver Tails...They taste better when they're fried. My favourite flavours are apple cinnamon and cinnamon sugar. They have a website... http://www.beavertails.ca

MMMmmmmmmmmm....chocolate hazelnut!

It was big enough for three of us to share! Loved it!

We were there 1-24 through 1-31 and by 8:30pm they were closed and they do not open until 3:00pm. I wanted to try one so badly that we changed our lunch options and stayed longer at Epcot to have one. CAUTION - they are huge and are easily shared by 2 or 3 people. DH and I each ordered a chocolate hazlenut Beavertail after eating lunch at Le Cellier. Needless to say we each threw half away and felt guilty about it. They were delicious and a great value at $3.50.

I must say, I didn't care for the beaver tails. :(
I wasn't prepared for it being whole wheat. I usually like whole wheat, but we had just had a funnel cake, and the beaver tail wasn't as sweet. We just had cinnamon sugar, so maybe that was the problem, but I would eat a funnel cake any day over the beaver tail.
So, if anyone doesn't like whole wheat, you may want to skip it.
Lots of other yummy stuff to make up for it! :)

I don't care for whole wheat either. However, I didn't notice last week that it was whole wheat (neither did my kids). Maybe it was the warm chocolate sauce over the top...mmmmm.....

While I thought the Beavertails were wonderful(and I still do), after trying the funnel cakes on my last trip, I agree. Those things were just incredible! We even made a special trip around WS one day to get 1.

The only hazard to eating at WS is the seagulls.
One swooped down and stole my son's piece of funnel cake!
