Evening all,

I'm working on our itinerary for our trip... We'd like to be at MGM in the afternoon on Oct 2 since it's EMH at night...
So our plan was to get there around 3ish, see Lights Motor Action and then eat at Sci-Fi for our reservation of 5:05, can't make it later since we want to be in line for Fantasmic around 6pm.

So now, everything seems fine...then, I look at the guide map from last year and realize that we'd love to see Beauty and the Beast show... One problem - I'm pretty sure we'll have to get there earlier in the afternoon...

So my question is...is Beauty & The Beast worth it?? We wanted to stick with our plan to stay at the pool if it's really hot... and leave later during the day to hit the park and stay late a night.

Thought it was great show I would work it into your schedule if you can. :goodvibes :wizard: :wave2:

We loved the show...I'd skip the pool and see the show!

We love it and usually see it several times on our trips. Please make sure to get there a bit early!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

We loved that show. I would definitely leave the pool early enough so you can get to see it. I thought it was beautiful....but then again Beauty & The Beast is my favorite of the Disney movies!

Another vote for not missing it...It was AWESOME. I expected a cute little show, it was like Broadway caliber(sp?). Ok, maybe other swould disagree with that statement but it was really great and I would do what I could to see it.
Good luck

another vote for the show. dd and have made it our annual event..,this year we took grandma with us and we will definitely do this again. skip the pool do the beast.

I love the show also. I should have brought video camera so that i re-watch it many times at home!

We LOVED the show! It was great. :thumbsup2
If you're questioning it, you should definetly see it.

It's absolutely fabulous! See it at least once!! You won't be diappointed! :thumbsup2

One Word:

PRE-SHOW

Arrive at theater 30 minutes before showtime (that's when they open the theater) and grab a good seat.

10-12 minutes before showtime there is (on most days) a show that makes the crowd go wild (some go back just for the pre-show.)

"Four for a Dollar" is the name of the group (at least at Disney) and you'll never forget 'em.

And I do agree, the B&B show is terrific!

I almost forgot that! Thanks for reminding me, they were AWESOME!!!!!

tremendous show - loved it! - will definitely go next time we visit MGM - get there 15-20 minutes early for decent seats though - we sat off to the right in the first row of the side section that started half way up.

GOOD SHOW :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

As a matter of fact, I think I remember reading somewhere that MGM's "Beauty and the Beast" show was the show that gave Disney the idea that they could successfully translate some of their movies to Broadway.

That could very well be true.
I did some quick research.

Beauty and Beast, Live on Stage, debuted at the Disney-MGM Studios in 1991.

Beauty and Beast premiered on Broadway - April 18, 1994.

Well, it's unanimous so far!

I LOVE the Beauty and the Beast show. I usually make time to see it twice a trip. One of my favorite things is Be Our Guest. Whenever I'm missing Disney I pop in the CD and ............ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh................

It's definitely a Don't Miss!
