Hello everyone!
The last time I was at MGM in Nov there were special sections saved for people. THe people that sat there seemed to have a type of ticket. Does anyone know how they got thoes? I know that having one would make my day alot easier and go a lot faster because I wouldn't have to spend a half hour waiting to get a good seat.

Another question about Beauty and the beast. What happend to the doves?? I remember them from a long time ago (only beucase we were at the last show, in the back row, and had them dropping treats on us.) Just curious

Thanks!

Almost time to start making PS. I've got the number programmed and am ready to dile! :earsboy:

We had VIP seats for 6 shows including Beauty and The Beast. They were part of the Prince and Princess Add-on to the Dreamaker Package. I don't think they have this add-on anymore with the new tickets, but I'm not sure. The other shows were Festival of the Lion King, Pocahontas, Flights of Wonder, Tarzan Rocks, and Playhouse Disney. You might want to call central reservations and ask if this is still available.

There may have been doves at one time at Beauty and the Beast but not in the recent years. There ARE doves however at the Pocahantas and Friends show in AK. (maybe they moved them over there since:p)

The doves were taken out of Beauty & the Beast because all of the predator birds (hawks, etc) in the area had gotten used to the release times of the doves and would actually lie in wait for them, at which point they would attack and grab the doves for dinner.

After this happened a few times in guest sight, Disney wisely chose to eliminate the doves from the B&B show, at least long enough for the hawks to "re-program" themselves to hunt elsewhere.

I had the VIP seats once, but it was arranged by a CM I knew who was in the actual show. I can tell you that the only other people in the VIP rows were a family who's father had just returned from Iraq, and a family with a handicapped child. The family with the father got pulled up during the opening bit, and the other family got a private visit with Beast & Belle afterwards. (We did, too.)

I don't know how you can try to arrange it, but I do know I've had lots of success with strange questions like that just by calling WDW Information, and telling the nice ladies there what I'm wanting to know. They ALWAYS seem to connect me with some non-public phone number, and get me straight through to the exactly right person to talk to! (I've found it helps if you're bright and friendly, and explain WHY you want to do whatever -- like, birthday, etc.)

There are several type of "VIP" seats at B & B:

1) There is some wheelchair and handicap seating in the front of the theater.

2) There is standard VIP seating in the front of the theater, used for celebrity guests and guests of CMs in the show.

3) THe previously mentioned (now defunct?) Prince and Princess package add-on.

4) Make a Wish seating for terminally ill children traveling in that program.

I purchased my plan before the new one took effect and added on the prince and princess package in order to get some of the advantages of special seating, character meal and disney dollars. I'm guessing that since I did purchase this package before the new one took effect that I will still receive these items. When I called and set up my CRT the CM asked if I had any vouchers and I told her about the prince and princess package and she said that it was no problem and I would receive a voucher when I should up for my PS. So I guess the special seating for shows will still work for me too. At least I hope so. :earboy2:

We leave on Saturday (2/5). We also have the Prince add-on package. I've reserved our seats for the shows mentioned above

Can't wait. :cool1:

You have to reserve your seats for the shows before you go? Where did you find this out?

I was told we have to reserve our seats for the shows prior to the day of the show. We can't just show up. It is not obvious when you reserve this package. It came up with a CM when I was doing a restaurant PS and asking where & when the show times would be posted. That is when she told me I needed to reserve my spots. I did mine ahead of time since show times are limited and I wanted to plan my days. If you wait, you may not get the shows you want on the days you want.

I leave on Saturday and I just called last week. For a few of the shows I was given only 1 available time on the day we'd be in MGM. I didn't have any problems with AK.

Hope this helps,

Michelle
