Good evening,

I will be going on my first DCL this summer on the Dream (5 night with two stops at Castaway Cay). Most of us are big Disney fans and travel to WDW frequently. Admittedly we did very little research on DCL before booking.

I have heard good things about Palo. Currently I have a reservation for the first and last night but we are open to changing. I dont want to miss Beauty and the Beast. On a five night cruise will this show be on a specific night? I have been trying to search the boards but getting lost in all the threads looking for the answer to my question. I apologize in advance if this question has been recently answered.

Thanks :)

Since the Dream hasn't done many 5 night cruises, this is just a guess, but the show that Beauty and the Beast replaced showed on night 3 of the 5 night Dream cruises.

Why don’t you do one brunch and one dinner at palo? Brunch is better in most opinions. No need to miss the shows when dining at palo just make your times at palo where you won’t miss the show.

Depends on the cruise and when Palo brunch is. For example, I'm on a 4-night double dip in 2019. I asked people on the same itinerary this year about Palo brunch (on the meet threads) and they are reporting that it is only being offered on the second Castaway day - NOT Nassau day which would make so much more sense. If it stays the same for next year (as in not enough complaints about it being stupid to do it on the second Castaway day since 2 stops at CC is the whole point of booking a Double Dip), I will sadly be skipping brunch because I am NOT giving up a second day on CC. :(

I would never take a day away from castaway cay for palo. I’m sure there’s a sea day but might be already booked up

Actually on the 4 Night double dip there is no sea day. I was surprised by this, but I guess it goes back to the commitment to go to Nassau so they can't skip it. Choosing between 2 CC or 1 CC and a day at sea would be a tough choice!

Op said they are on a 5 night

We just got off the Dream for a 4 nighter yesterday and Beauty & Beast was on 4th night. Wonderful show, we were impressed!

That was the plan however we were not able to get the brunch at Remy or Palo. My understanding is it may be possible to pick up brunch on embarkation day. I am hoping that is true :) From there we may drop a day.

Edit- good tip on picking a dinning time that does not interfere with a show time. I will see if I can go back and modify.

Thank you. It sounds like it may be a wait and see. And yes this cruise does include one sea day, two stops at CC and one stop in Nassau. I only saw brunch on one day

I would assume it would come on night 5. The other shows would be a huge let down after seeing beauty and the beast. On a 4 day sailing, they offered it 3 times during the last day - a day at sea. 2 pm, 5:30, and 8:30.

I'm on the 6/1 Dream 5 night and wonder which night it will be as well. We were able to get Palo brunch since we're platinum and could book it early, but were shocked that they're only offering it one day.

Palo brunch is typically only offered on sea days. If your itinerary only has 1 sea day, that's all that there is.

On some itineraries (3 night Nassau/CC cruises) DCL has finally wised up and realized that many people do not get off the ship in Nassau and will offer the brunch on that day, also.

Oh, I understand, but with so many people not getting off in Nassau, I would think it would be smart on their part financially to offer it on that day too.
