I've been to Disney, and I love the shows, but I've never seen this one. I'm really excited, because I'm making it a point to get to it this time. Can anyone tell me what they think of it? Is it good? I loved the Lion King at Animal Kingdom, how does it compare? Thanks!! :yay:

I love this show! As far as how it compares to The Lion King show at AK, I think Lion King is staged a bit better than Beauty and the Beast, but, I still like Beauty and the Beast better. Must be the little girl in me.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

I may be alone here, but I didn't like it. Not worth the time. Now, admittedly, I"ve seen the Broadway show, so seeing the giant fake characters, and hearing voice overs from the movie were just too cheesy for me. I think it's time they replaced this and use the ampitheater for something original.

We've seen it 3 times and love it. It is really different from the Lion King as Lion King has action all over the floor. Beauty is a stage production of the story, well done, with great costumes. We have sat up front, in the middle, and in the very back. Get as close as you can in the middle to take it all in.

Get there early for the surprise beginning. It is really my favorite part of the show.

I like it, but I think I like the opening act, 4 for $1(isn't that their name?) better than the actual show. I make sure we get there to see them.

I swear he did, I have pics to prove it!! ;)

I LOVE it! It's a not-to-be missed show! :thumbsup2

We LOVE this show! I have seen the Broadway show three times and I love this one just as much.

It is always on our list of must dos every trip! :cheer2: :cheer2:

We saw it for the first time in October, and it was very good. Definitely a must do for little princesses and anyone who loves Beauty and the Beast (like me)!

The only thing that was a bit odd, is that Belle goes from being in her little town to being in the castle with just a "due to unusual circumstances" kind of line (or something like that). It wasn't a big deal (and I understand why they can't fit the whole thing in), but if someone hasn't seen the movie (as was the situation of one person in out group), they might get a bit confused as to why she is there, why the furniture talks, etc.

This has become a must see for us. No, it's not Broadway, but it is a great show. My DD sits with tears in her eyes the whole time...that makes it worth every second to me!

And I agree about getting there early for the pre-show. Excellent! :thumbsup2

I really like Beauty and the Beast - but I try to see it when Four for a Dollar are performing before hand (usually Tuesday-Saturday).

Excellent show. Seen it twice and would see it again. Same thing for Lion King. 2 different stlyle shows, but IMO, both worth the 45 or so minutes.

we love it especially my 2 year old daughter. she yelled out to Gaston, "Hey, stop hurting him" in the fight scene and cried cause she thought the beast died.
The funny thing is that we were in the 2nd row so I think Gaston heard her cause I saw him glance out. It was adorable. Speaking of shows, is anyone else NOT impressed by "Tarzan Rocks"? I never thought I would see a Disney show that I did not like but that one did it.

Have to agree with this :) On my last trip I saw Beauty and the Beast once, but went up just to see Four for a $ 2 more times! They are so much fun to watch. Their CD is always in my changer in the car ~~

I have seen both B&B and LK on Broadway....you can never ever compare the WDW version to this...

suffice to say....
LK show in AK is stupendous...great job...lots of energy
B&B show in MGM is good..granted it was before LK was done in AK...\
it is very entertaining and actors are great

but if you want the real thing
I would strongly suggest getting tkts to Broadway and seeing both shows
my first choice would be LK...it will blow you away..
did me !

Lion King is the best show hands down. I still think you will enjoy Beauty and the Beast. It is very cute. A chopped up and cheesed out version of the broadway spectacular, but still worth seeing....fir shur!!! :)
