I've always wanted to see this show and it never works out. This time is my time. How early do I need to get to the theatre what is the seating like?

1. How early do I need to get to the theatre
2. what is the seating like?

EDIT:

1. 20-30 min. (or more) before show time, depending on crowd level.
2. Stadium theater seating.

Thanks. Backless seating? I may have to rethink it, as my back isn't always the great spine it once was. :( Is the show worth it?

It’s very enjoyable. Most people do like it. But, I don’t know if anyone here can say if the 50 min or so on the bench is worth it for you, without knowing how much discomfort you’ll be in.

Sorry.
I first posted the info for Festival of the Lion King.
Beauty & the Beast seating does have backs.

We saw this on Saturday, 23 February and arrived about 10 minutes before showtime. We were seated near the back, but there were still seats available behind us when the show started. I gather that the period we were there is typically a low crowd time, so @Robo's advice sounds good more generally, especially if you do not want to be near the back of the theatre.

If you get a FP for B&B, you will be able to sit closer to the stage and in the center section.
You should still arrive 20+ minutes before show time if you do have a FP

Last trip in Dec we walked in about 5 min after the show started, and we seated in the bleachers in the very back. There were still plenty of seats in those stadium bleachers throughout the whole show. We had a sleeping child who woke up at that point, so missing a few minutes was ok by us.

Were those seats all right anyway?

Thanks for the correction. You had me worried.

We went in Feb and walked in about 10-15 minutes before the last show of the day and we got seats on the side and could see fine. I don’t think there are any bad seats, the seats even to the side aren’t that far over. They are just bench seats so not comfortable but the show is cute and worth seeing, at least for us it was.

Great. Thanks. Right now, it looks like I have a 20 minute wait in my plan, but any changes could eat that right up. Of course, my plan is also predicting that I can RD SDD and ride twice in just over an hour. :scratchin I don't know about that, but we'll see next week.

It really depends on how busy the park is and where you want to sit.
If you want a seat in the middle and half way up or so, you should be there 30 minutes before.
We have walked in 5 minutes before the show starts and been in the upper third. Still could see and hear very well.

And to add onto this ^

We prefer to sit further back so we can get out of the theatre easier and not be in amongst a big crunch of people exiting at once.

Just something else to consider.

They open the FP seating to standby about 10 minutes before the show begins. I’ve had a fair amount of luck arriving then but I’m usually solo.
