Would like to go see, wondering if it is really good? Has anyone seen it with Christy Carlson Romano? If so how did she do?

Would like to know what seats are the best, best time to go, any hotel info you have, anything to help make the planning go smoother if I decide to go with my family/friends..
Thanks,
Princess3

I've seen it twice, great show, though I didn't see it with Romano.

try to get orchestra seats, near the center of the house.

www.nyctourist.com can help with hotels.

where do you want to eat? do you need suggestions?

I took my niece to see the touring broadway show here in Atlanta at the Fabulous Fox Theatre about 1 1/2years ago and it was great. :) Would love to see it again.

Yes I need suggestions!

I don't know when to go what else to do or anything. I have always wanted to see it and missed it when it was in the town I was in. I am thinking of asking my mom and sisters if they would like to go since I know my hubby and son will say no..

Any and All help is appreciated!
Thank You,

there are some great places in the Times Square area. everyone loves Carmine's Italian on 44th street. I also like John's Pizza, downt he block from Carmine's -- brick oven pizza in a building that once housed a church. Ellen's Stardust Diner has the home of the singing waitstaff. If you like theme restaurants, there's a Planet Hollywood -- I've never been there, but it's pretty standard. and there's Mars 2112 -- excellent on theming but the food is kind of overpriced. I haven't had a chance to check out Bubba Gump's yet. or, if you're not feeling advetnurous, there are chains -- Applebees, Olive Garden and Friday's are all in the times Square area.

I saw it a few months ago, about a week after Christy Carlson Romano started playing Belle....she was AMAZING. Such a beautiful voice. It was a great show, second on my list only to Aida. You'll definitely enjoy it. We had orchestra seats and they were wonderful.

I vote for Carmine's too...they give you enough food to feed a small army. And its very very yummy!

I've seen it twice, but it's been about 5 years since I've seen it...great show. My dad, who came along just for the heck of it, has never stopped raving about it. He loved "Be Our Guest."

Carmine's is wonderful! I recommend it highly. It's family style Italian, which means you'll get platters of food. It can actually be a better bargain than eating at a chain restuarant.

Another great place to eat is Virgil's BBQ. I think it's also on 44th. They have ribs, chicken, pulled pork, etc. They make pretty good hush puppies as well.

There is a huge Marriott hotel right in Times Square. I've seen the inside--my company had a banquet there in 1998--and it's very nice.

Have fun! This is a great show!

Saw the touring company several years ago in Dallas, LOVED IT!

My exp on Broadway has been that there isn't a such thing as a bad seat =) I've always had fantastic seats each time I've gone to NYC =)

We fell in love with the food at The Stage Deli when we were there last summer. I think we ate there 3 or 4 times during the week. I had the best chicken caeser wrap there.....huge!

I have seen B&B 3 times, but none of them on Broadway. I've seen touring companies. I love the show and would see it again if I could.

Depending on your time frame, order tickets as early as possible. I took Belle a couple years ago, ordered ~3 months in advance, and got second row seats--totally amazing! You may have luck closer to your date--at that point, it was selling out daily, and may not be so much now.

You will absolutely love the show. Don't think for a second that it's a kid's show. The music (which I HAD to have, after seeing it!) still makes me cry!

I saw the road show a number of years ago when it came to Chicago. It was wonderful. A friend of mine was the assistant lighting designer and he got us in. Had to sit all the way at the back of the house beside the big lighting console, but the seats were not that bad. He gave me and the missus a back stage tour after the show as well. Some wicked cool technology.

In my opinion, the best seats in the house are usually the first row of the balcony near the center. Next would be a half dozen or so rows back in the center orchestra section.

Christy was awesome as Belle. I got tickets 2 weeks before I went and got 7th row! I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. It's not real big.

Here is a picture of my dd with Christy after the show. She signed autographs for everyone who waited for her.

Yes, we've seen the show with Christy. I took my parents & Brittany when they were here for Easter. She did a terrific job. This is one of the best shows on Broadway. (And I've seen a lot.)

DaisyDebbie-

What nice pictures of Christy!:D Such a beautiful young lady.princess: I love seeing the pictures of her in the blue dress....very pretty.

I think that was Jeff McCarthy playing the Beast. And isn't the guy playing Gaston a little scrawny-looking for that role?
