We have never done this and have a few questions!

1. Do you recommend a fastpass?
2. When do you need to line up before the show to be in the general seating?
3. Any tips on getting great seats?

Depends on what time of year you're going, but I would say generally no fastpass, get there about 20 minutes before the show, and try to sit towards the back so you can be among the first ones out.

Depends on date and time, but often no. We did last trip because our other plans were a certain time and we wanted to cruise on in without any wait.

We hung out after as everyone was doing a mad rush to get out and had some lovely extra Belle time btw.

Ditto on time of year and day but in general you prob don't need a fp. In early nov we had no problem walking right in about 10 minutes before show started. The theater never filled. It was late morning.

Anytime I've attended, it's never been completely full. I wouldn't use a FP and I wouldn't show up more than 15 min ahead of showtime. Last time we showed up 5 min prior and had plenty of seats to pick from

What does it mean that you have "extra Belle time"? Just curious!

1. Not unless you don't need it for anything else at DHS.
2. 20 minutes will usually do it, and you won't be "lining up" as the theater will be open by then.
Just walk in and pick your spot.
3. We've seen the show dozens of times (we like to see different Belle and Gaston actors) and have been seated everywhere in the theater. You can see and hear from any spot. We prefer center section, near the tech booth.

They often ask people to move along, lots of space in the 1500 capacity theatre :)

I'm going to guess that by "move along" you mean "scoot together" (toward the center of the bench) to allow more
guests to sit on each bench.

Yeah thats what I meant. Do they say scoot together? I was sure there was a phrase used but it eludes me!

We have used an FP once and said never again, it took forever to get out (they hadn't opened the side exit either!) so we were positively soaked through by the time we got out. So, I second a PP - aim to sit at the back, you'll have a great view wherever you sit.

Depends on the CMs working.
It will be some variation of "scoot together" or "squeeze together" or "slide towards the center," etc.

I fix not need fp, too.
Self sufficient, I be.
Fast Pass you not need, young Jedi.
Disney butt shuffle they do.
Room at end of benches there will be plenty, just before show starts. :yoda:

I'm pretty sure they were talking about Enchanted Tales with Belle instead of the BatB stage show.

No, if you hang around the stage area sometimes the performers come out after the show is over and greet the folks there. I don't know if this happens all the time or just randomly.

At ETWB she rushes out and never comes back, no extra time there ever.

I also agree that a FP isn't necessary for this show. We've been to it a few times and have never missed a capacity cut-off.

The amphitheater does hold quite a few guests, but it's not a huge venue, so I don't think there are really any "bad" seats. That being said, I do have a tip for potential "extra magic" on your visit.

At the end of the stage show, Belle & the Prince give a child a rose from the stage. A CM picks the child before the show starts and the family is seated in a roped off row up front for easy stage access at the correct time. I've seen it stated before that people have been chosen while waiting at the beginning of the line, but for us, my daughter was chosen as we were walking up to the mostly full theater not long before show time. Specifically, my advice would be to just keep your eyes out for a CM directing people up the outside walkway and is potentially holding a 3x5 card and a marker. That's the CM you want to make sure you smile at and say "hi" to :) They'll talk to your child and then issue them a card that you take to a seating attendant CM who will escort you to the roped off seats. This is the card they personalized and the rose that was given at the end of the show:

Additionally, I think they might look for a child that look like they won't be too scared to go up to the stage since it's another CM that escorts them from your family seat and stands by them in front of the stage towards the end of the show. If you have a Disney special occasion pin for celebrating something on your trip, then have your child wear it as well. DHS is probably the best park at wishing kids a "happy birthday, princess!" throughout the day when it's their birthday and they are wearing the pin and I think that's what initially caught the CMs attention to talk to my daughter.

Of course, none of that may really matter and it could just be completely random... but my thoughts are, it can't hurt to try :) Hope you enjoy your trip!

Yep! We met some of the performers. I have NO idea if it was random or not but it was *awesome*
