Beautiful & Moving Story about MK Fairy Godmother

That is absolutely beautiful. I am totally crying over here.

I sincerely hope the execs read this and think hard about the cuts they've made.

Very moving story. I saw it on Facebook, but didn't share here because I wasn't sure if it was a Meme or True. Prayers for the Mom and family as well.

I also saw this on Facebook (Kathy shared!) and it broke my heart, but warmed it at the same time. It's things like this that keeps my love for Disney strong, even through the crazy changes. It's also been reported that the Fairy Godmother has found out about this letter too. :) Sending thoughts and prayers to the family.

Oh wow...this is so special. Thank you for sharing. Disney is indeed a magical place.

I remember seeing a young woman several years ago in the park over by the carousel. My daughter saw her first and said she was crying. I thought perhaps she got separated from her child. So, I approached her to see if I could help. Through her tears she told me she had lost her infant. Her husband and her 2-year-old son had come to Disney to brighten their spirits. She was crying happy tears because it was the first time she felt joy in months. She was watching her son and husband on the merry-go-round and the little boy was just beaming. Naturally, I began crying too! I gave her a hug and told her that I would lift her family up in prayer and told her that her little girl was with them always because as moms we carry our littles around in our hearts.

I stood and watched her husband and son get off the ride and after he hugged her he came over to me and gave me a hug and said "thank you for being here." It was our own "magical moment." I've thought about that family often over the years and do remember them every time we ride the carousel. I hope my hug gave her just a bit of comfort and peace.

This story reminded me again of just how special Disney is to our family and many others as well.

Have a great day DisPals! :)

This is a truly heart warming story. Made me tear up. I love all the magic in Disney World.

Too bad FGM was cut in the recent $$$ grabbing direction they seem to be following.
Nope. That was debunked in the thread on these boards about that rumored cut. Corrections to rumors don't spread as fast as rumors do.

Edit: Also, it appears the story happened very recently (the Facebook posted was dated Monday and from Orlando).

FGM's meet will continue as @EricInPA posted.

I just wanted to add that the parents with their precious Teddy Bear visited many characters that day. Characters, Attendants, and Photopass were equally moved by the events of that day and showed great compassion towards the parents as they grieved.

Bawling right now but it is a beautiful story. I wonder how many characters were crying inside.

She went around telling everyone the ashes of her deceased baby were inside the teddy bear? While I think the open-hearted responses from the cast members were very touching, I worry for the young mother. I know everyone grieves in their own way, but I'm concerned for her. I hope it helps to bring her some peace, though.
