Beatles Rock Band ( software only ) for Wii...$40...good deal?

I orederd it on Amazon as it is normally $60. I most likely will be holding it for a birthday gift as we need to also get the guitar ( Rickenbocker ) and that is about $100 ...so too much for the Christmas budget with other items on there. Anyway, do you think the game will drop more than that after Christmas or am I in the "not ripped off" zone at $40? ( thats total, free shipping and no tax)

The game has been out for a while now. I don't think it's going to drop below 60 for a few more months, and even then, it'll probably stay at 50$ for months after that.

I've seen games, like Kingdom Hearts stay at the 50$ mark until it went greatest hits, where it then automatically dropped to 20$. I think the same thing happened with Halo, and there's a few from Nintendo that did it as well. Of course to hit the greatest hits mark, it has to reach so many sales in a year.
So expect 50-60$ range till well into next year.

Yes 40$ is a great price for that game.

thanks, it weas bothering me all night that I paid too much. I did not want to get a used game as it will be a gift,and possible a duplicate. Now if the guitar would just go on sale..man that thing is WAY expensive, but apparently DD is really after the John Lennon one, like the whammy bar , more realistic feel of it. Good thing I have until June to save for that!

I could be wrong, but I think that the Beatles guitars were intended to be fairly limited. I'm not sure that they will still be selling them in June. If it would be a disaster if you weren't able to get one, it might be a good idea to ask someplace like Gamestop if those are limited or not. I'd hate for you to think they'll still be available in June and end up missing them.

40$ is a good price for that game. you can also have a look at those sales for the wii games at the top and end of the list.

You can use the other rock band guitar with the Beatles software correct? You do not have to use the Beatles guitar for it to work do you?

Can you also use the guitar hero guitar? We don't have any of the other instruments...would it be fun with just the guitar? (It's really just a gift for my DH--I wouldn't play it.)

Rock band keeps an updated chart of which controllers will work with its games and which controllers will work with the Guitar Hero games. The other night we were playing Bealtes Rockband on my Wii with 2 Guitar Hero Guitars, the Beatles Limited Edition Drums, and 3 generic microphones--RB is a lot more open with what they support than Guitar Hero, which will only work with their own peripherals.

At least the RB2 drums are compatible with almost all the games. I don't know which guitar it is I got, I got the free one at Old Navy, and it's now sitting under the bed of my friend's house. But we've used his beatles set to play guitar hero 5. I bought guitar hero smash hits and greatest hits (something like that). One for wii, one for PS3, so I hope they work with the RB sets. But I got them at 30% off at a blockbuster going out of business, so the price was right.
