Raspberry swirl here! And as it happens, I’m at the airport, heading to Disneyland, planning to sample the delicious Dole Whip combos this weekend!

ETA—We started our trip at Knott’s Berry Farm. They have a fun way to beat the heat in Calico, their Old West town: the old-time fire wagon sprayed out water on the crowd.

As a team, we moved up 11% this time! Wow!!!! And congrats to sophy1996 for moving up to Pink and to Twilight Sparkle for reaching Red!!!! We have other members very close to their next color change, too, so keep those minutes coming!!!

Star Wars fans in need of a cool down at Disneyland Paris should stop by Cool Station for a cold drink and Star Wars themed treats. They currently have a Grogu shaped chocolate-hazelnut-pistachio cookie on the menu, but they've also had Vader shaped waffles in the past. And if an indoor break is needed, Cafe Hyperion also has Star Wars goodies - currently a BB 8urger (the 8 is intentional and is listed that way on their menu) and a BB 8 dessert as well as some non Star Wars themed but yummy sounding ice cream and sorbet options. And if you still need more time hiding from the sun, you're not too far from Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain.

Luckily, I was on Southwest, which didn’t seem to have many disruptions. We arrived right on time.

Ways to beat the heat are coming in handy. We don’t often come to Disney parks in summer and the afternoons have been pretty hot.

Yesterday, we grabbed a Mango Strawberry Swirl Dole Whip at the Tropical Hideaway. Delicious!



But the most refreshing drink turned out to be a Lychee Pear drink from Stage Door Canteen in DCA. We got one on Sunday and had to make a special trip back on Monday for another one!

We’re home now, so back to real life.

Yum to both treats! I love lychee, but I don't think I've ever had it paired up with pear. That sounds really good!

Happy Friday, all! Let's play Favorite Frozen Treat Friday where we all share our favorite frozen Disney treat. Maybe we'll get ideas from each other for things to try on our next trip!

Mine is the Night Blossom drink from Animal Kingdom Park's Pandora:



And it has some green in it!!!! This cup of frozen yumminess is a blend of limeade, apple, desert pear and passion fruit flavors. Here's a recipe if you want to try to make this at home. It's so delicious and refreshing!

On our last trip, we were happy to find a seemingly healthier frozen treat - also at Animal Kingdom. An ice cream cart between the Nemo musical and Dinoland offered a chocolate and nut covered frozen banana, and by that point in the trip, we needed something like that. Turns out it was a good move because Kevin from Up came by while we were sitting down enjoying the snack break. That whole experience has made a simple frozen banana treat a favorite of mine, too!
